OK, I have a question...

Why is it that the lighting and even the laugh track on this show during the 7th season, I believe it was, was so much better than even the previous or succeeding seasons?

I also noticed that this particular season with the Soup Nazi, The Engagement, and Worlds Collide, was by far the most exciting and well-written year.

Any theories for these phenomena?

I never paid attention to the canned laughter or lighting. But comparing entire seasons, I think 7th season is the best. Many people like season 9, but the finaly sucks and the clip show is a waste of 2 shows.

i loved 'the finale.'

seasons 7 through 9 were the best for me, and that's saying a lot considering how much i love the earlier shows.

I must say that season 4 ranks very high on my chart. George and Jerry writing a pilot for NBC, The Contest, The Outing, The Smelly Car ("How can it be BO? The O usually stays with the B....), Ted Danson,.....
That season is full of great funny stuff!

Season 5 is the peak ..... followed by season 7 then season 4...then 8.. then 3.. then 2... then 9.. then 1

Mr. Opposite knows what he is talking about. There is no better season than one that includes "The Opposite," and that my friends is Season 5. I'd put them in this order:

P.S. I loved the finale too and 9 did have some excellent episodes; it's just so tough with all the other great seasons)

Tough call but 5 is my favorite.
