I don't think this deserves a whole thread, but i didn't know how to slip this one into a conversation. I just saw an episode of American Dad (same people who do Family Guy), and there was a part where the father (a CIA agent) tried to impress his boss with a clever joke or something, which didn't go over too well. Then back at the house, his wife asks if he used the joke that she came up with to tell his boss, to which he replies, "No, it bombed! Thanks a lot Larry David!"
Now my question is: Is this taking a shot at Larry or is this showing respect for Larry? Because either the father thinks Larry David is a great writer and therefore making a sarcastic comparison (As if to say his wife is the complete opposite of a Larry David). Or he thinks Larry David sucks and is making a simple comparison, (as if to say his wife is like Larry David).
I'm pretty sure it's the first one, but either way at least this ought to keep us busy for a few seconds.
It's a good show, though.
