In the good samaritan episode. It is her car that gets hit and Jerry tries to cover for the woman who hit it but also wants a date with Becky.

I've always been curious -- why the name Becky Gelke and why bother to spellit out. I went to high school witha girl named Becky Gelke who became an actress and wonder if that is the connection.

...was played by Helen Slater (uncredited) who also played "Supergirl" in the movie by the same name.

A connection to Jerry Seinfeld's onscreen and real life admiration to "Superman".

A FUNNY THING HAPPENED...My name is Roger Gelke (My Real name) No relation to Becky...I grew up in Midtown Manhattan. A place called Manhattan plaza, Where people in the Performing arts" resided. There was a "Becky Gelke" living
@ 400 W. 43rd. I grew up in 484 W. 43rd. Helen Slater also lived in 400 W. 43rd. in the early 80's I summize that Helen Slater and Becky Gelke where possibly friends or co-workers.
Maybe Seinfeld used her name because it was very different and at the time Becky Gelke, was the only Gelke listed in the N.Y. Yellow pages??? Just an interesting factiod that I thought might amuse all the Seinfeld fans out there. Laughing

Helen Slater and Jason Alexander were friends. Jason directed that episode and asked her at the last minute to take the role.
