Yes, he's Bob Elliot, real-life father of Chris Elliot (who played the TV cameraman on Groundhog Day).

Awhile back we were discussing TV sitcom idiots. Forgot all about Chris Elliot in Get A Life. Chris played an overgrown paperboy living with his father (played by his real father Bob Elliot). It was a hilarious show. Am going to order the DVDs right now.

Didn't Brian Doyle-Murray, Bill's bro, play the Bubble Boy's dad and the mayor of Punxsutawney?

Forget those DVDs. There are only four selected episodes on each for a full DVD price. OutRAGEOUS!!

... and yes, you are correct Bookman.

And who can forget Doyle-Murray (aside: how come it's not Bill "Doyle-"Murray, since they're brothers?) as the operator of a rustic campground somewhere in Colorado in the classic "Animal House Vacation" starring Chevy Chase as Clark Griswold?

No. Jimmy got his movies mixed up. For some reason Jimmy put Bob Elliot's face on the Mayor and the Bubble Dad. But the second Jimmy saw Bookmans post, the bread had been taken from Jimmy's mouth.

Jimmy's gonna go stick his head in the oven now. Ten to fifteen minutes at 350° sounds about right. Sad
