I am trying to burn the hi-res episodes onto dvd's but i can only get about 2-3 episodes on each dvd. If i lower the quality i can get 4-5 on each dvd, but that will still be about 40 dvd's for the series. I have seen people selling the entire series on 23 dvd's, which means they have about 6 episodes per dvd, how did they get that many on there and is the quality really low even though they say its great quality.

Ok check this out this may be a soulution. What i did was use a program called fx-mpeg writer and it converted these avi files to mpeg. Now to my eye i cannot tell a difference maybe some people can. Then i burned them to a blank cd-r disk and it played fine in my apex dvd player. if your player can play vcd files it can probably play thoses as well and i got 3 episodes on a cd-r usuing nero if you need help with that or need any of those files let me know. I tried myself to put them on dvd it would only let me put about 3-4 episodes

If you encode them in VCD format (with 48k audio instead of 44.1k), you can get 20 episodes on one DVD-R in decent quality (use a good encoder, like TMPGEnc).
