Lets hear a big hand for Marc Hirschfeld who I believe was responsible for most of the casting of Seinfeld. One of the things that made it so good and special was that 99% of the charactors were played by actors who you now couldn't imagine being played by anyone else. Uncle Leo, J. Peterman, Alton Benes, Mr Bookman... the list goes on.
I think he truly was an unsung hero of Seinfeld.

Absolutely. One thing about the show was the guest stars were always great. Milos, The Mohel, Eric the Clown. We remember these people and they might have spent less than a minute on screen. Great casting!

I have long held that this is one of the MAJOR strengths of the show, throughout its entire run. Look no further than the parents. Even the bit parts, as mentioned were always strong. Good point, Harry, and keep enjoying the show!
