Did anybody see Bill and Hillary Clinton at Coretta Scott King's funeral. I caught it on C-SPAN last night.

Bill spoke entirely from memory (or improvisation).... he never stumbled over his words, nor ever glanced at a single piece of paper. What an amazing speaker. Bush just sat there like a dumb-f*ck... either he was wishing he too could speak like that, or he was just confused about what was even being said.

I guess Mr. Carter insulted Bush with some anti-war talk, but I haven't seen it yet. Bashing that asshole to his face even at a funeral... ya gotta love it. Too bad Bush wasn't in the casket.

The first time I saw Bill give a major speech after the 2000 election, he talked almost an hour without notes or a teleprompter. Then he took questions and answered intelligently on international relations, the environment, and economics. I almost cried. (OK, not exactly.) I thought, Jesus, how far we've fallen with this .... this .... embarassment for a leader.

I squirmed when I saw/heard Carter and the Rev. Lowery criticize Bush in that situation. I mean, it was a funeral for a national hero, or the wife of one, or both. On the other hand, George W. Bush doesn't care about black people. He was there to score political points he didn't deserve. Welcome to the big leagues, Mr. Bush.

Well he has to be good at improvising speeches, how do you think he avoided telling his wife he was having an affair for so long?

That was certainly an amazing speech that Bill delivered.
Did you notice that Hillary hold his hand while she was speaking? She must have needed all his support to deliver her speech.. it's not usual to see her so affectionate with her husband!
