Hi I always use TMPEG encoder to convert my divx files for dvd use but for some reason it just wont pick up the audio stream for the HQ episodes which sucks!! can any1 suggest another program or anything that will help me convert them.

I assume you mean the TMPGEnc encoder? That's what I'm using; the only problem I ran into was the one I described in my response on the other thread ("Problem Burning to VCD").

Strangely enough, while trying all kinds of tools to fix the problem I described, I encountered a different MPEG encoder that would refuse to extract audio just as you describe. There is something slightly messed up about these files but most encoders do work. I would suggest just trying different MPEG encoders until you find one that works for you. Or, you could try extracting the audio with a separate program such as ffmpeggui and just using your MPEG encoder to do the video. With most DVD authoring programs, you should be able to recombine the audio and video in the DVD authoring step.

However, TMPGEnc does work for me ... maybe upgrade your version??

Cucusoft avi to dvd software works great, all you do is just load the files and it does the rest. you can download a version at cucusoft.com I hope this helps.

Hey dont get all deperate.
I convert divx to dvd or (s)vcd for 2 years now and I stick to TMPGEnc cause has the best image and sound quality.
However 90% of the DivX movies today have a VBR ( variabile bit rate ) sound and TMPGEnc doesn't know how to handle it.I use Virtual Dub to extract the audio form the file as an uncompressed wav file and then when getting the video file in the TMPGEnc you have the sound tab which is blanc.Just click it and instead of going to the MOvie you want to convert just choose the wav file you obtained with Virtual Dub.
Be carefull cause the wav sound file, beeing uncopressed might take up a lot of space. If you want you can just recompress it with a constant bit rate back into Mpeg3 Layer ( mp3 ).

PS. if you want to get the best quality use TMPGEnc, if you want to do the job faster without all this truouble just use one the other encoders they guys suggested.
