That's like saying someone's not a true Friends fan if they haven't seen The Sopranos! Never saw Curb... Jimmy won't buy HBO for one show.

That's like saying you're not a true Beatles fan if you don't have the whole Yoko Ono collection.

why is everyone so down on curb.
I've seen the first and second seasons and i thought it was hilarious. the show is definitely structured differently than seinfeld, but the heart and soul of seinfeld is very much apparent. some great story lines from the two first seasons.
ex1)a "very bulgy" pair of pants causes david to be accused by his wife's friend of having an erection.
ex2)an innocent comment directed towards Wanda Sykes, escalates into David being accused of having an "ass fetish".

Yeah, I did enjoy then few Curbs I've seen, I never said I was down on it. That wasn't the point of what Jimmy and I said. It's like saying you don't like Leopords just because you like Tigers (because of their stripes).

THAT'S what i meant! it's just from what Gendison said, it seemed as though he was taking a shot at Curb...you know...'cause he compared it to Yoko Ono...and that's just not right. But onward and upward.

boy that Jimmy's got quite a temper.

Funny the Yoko reference.

This summer, while on vacation, my sons and I see a car at the Grand Canyon, a 50-ish guy with long salt-and-pepper hair and beard. On the back of his car is a huge bumper sticker which read:

"Still mad at Yoko".

We laughed for days! Smile

I don't think people would have hated Yoko Ono as much as they do if her name weren't YOKO ONO! a woman with a name like that is just asking for it.

The name had nothing to do with it!

Personally, I don't hate Yoko. If John Lennon deicded to love her, that's his decision. I think the Beatles were drifting apart by that time anyway. I'm not crazy about her so-called singing, but I think there's a racial element in why people labelled her such an evil person. McCartney actually announced he was leavin the Beatles before John did, and nobody blaimed Linda Eastman....I can go on and about the history of the Beatles and rock and roll in general, don't get me started.

Mad Yoko Ono lives just a hoot and a holler from us. I've not had occasion to hear her music or view her art. I don't even remember the details about the dustup bustup of the band way back when. But out of respect for John, his Music, and his life I think it highly inappropriate to be kicking her around in your previous posts at this late date.

As for Being down on Curb....
I'm sorta down on it, but stick with it to see what obnoxious thing he'll do next.

Curb is fuckin great. Really it's a continuation of Seinfeld. Seinfeld is "Life" when you're single, and Curb is "Life" when you're married.

The plotlines in curb are just too great, everything that happens is for a reason, if something happens in the beggining it will have an effect on something later.

Curb is, Like larry david is in stand up, a comedy for comedians.

although not really comedians, but more people who like to analyse every little stupid event that they experience(wich comedians often do). Seinfeld followed that same principle, the only difference is that in Curb you have to find the comedy in it yourself, whereas in Seinfeld you get it served on a silver platter.

I love curb myself, although i must say that after watching a few shows after eachother i need to take a break. Larry has the skill to really make me feel uncomfortable haha.
