Somewhat a selfish topic, seeing how this only aired on CBC, but Gendison, and I think Gack, certainly had the opportunity to see this 2 part documentary. Did anyone see this? I was only 10 when the referendum happened, so I didn't really recognize the importance of it. All, I remember is watching the news reporting confrontations between separatists and federalists. And what's his name, Villeneuve. I remember the rally, I remember the concession speech, and I remember the accusations of refusing votes. But that's about it. This documentary, brought back a lot of the memories I couldn't understand at the time, and it was a really cool documentary at that. It's amazing how much insight a politician can give after 10 years, when their political careers are not affected. Parizeau, Chretien, Daniel Johnson, Charest, were all a part of this documentary. Their feelings, strategies, etc. throughout the entire campaign. From Parizeau's decision to reach out to Chirac, to the decision to hold the Unity Rally, to the plans being made in the event of a YES win (or lack thereof). Pretty cool stuff. I wish I recorded it.
