In "The Chaperone" it seems that Mr Pitt works or is even some kind of manager at Doubleday.

But in "The Switch" Elaine gets offered a job at Doubleday and she and Mrs Landis act like Mr Pitt has nothing to do with Doubleday.

Did I get something wrong there or is that an error in the plot?
