What I know for now is that 1&2 will be together for 49.95 and season 3 will also be 49.95. You can also get 1-3 in the same set with a free gift for 129.95. Is this right Stan.

wow i can't wait. I come from the UK and sadly, Seinfeld is never hardly shown. I had never seen an episode in my entire life until last year when it appeared on a Paramount channel, and now they are on every night at 8!!! Its so cool, but so far i'm only just into series 3 Sad Meaning i got alot of catching up to do, but already its grown on me and become one of my favourite TV shows. I will defently by the DVD and i'm getting loads of ppl over here to watch the show, some of my m8s didn't know who Jerry Seinfeld is??? Mad How come Seinfeld is so famous, yet its hardly noticed over here???

It wouldn't be a 'free' gift after all, would it now?

Anyone know the chances of these getting a release in the UK?

As I've never been able to ascertain whether Seinfeld is popular here or not?

Twin Peaks season 2 is getting a region 2 release by the way!

It won't get a region 1 release due to legal wrangling over ownership rights in the US (Same problem as with the pilot not being on the r1 release of season one iirc).

Will the commentary tracks only be with Jerry Seinfeld and Michael Richards?

Anybody?

Also, enough of the Twin Peaks info. Find your own website.

I did a Google search on "Seinfeld DVD" and found at least 2-3 sites that sells a complete set of all episodes on DVD (for about US$150). Of course, these must be illegal, but while the stars and the network quibble about how much richer everyone is going to be, I suspect that lots of sales will be lost to these bootleggers. I would also guess that if the network is too slow to release all the episodes, then lots of folks will turn to the bootleg producers.

If I recall correctly, all of the stars have signed on to do extras. I may well be wrong, however.

IMO, As the DVDs come out and are mucho-expensive, they will be ripped and compressed and will be shared on Kazaa, IRC... Then the bootleggers will get higher quality originals (not to mention watermark free w/o scene deletions/alterations) and will produce better quality bootlegs.

Question: Why has there been so little (visible) action against these people that sell the illegal 180-episode sets? Will the penalities increase as the authentic DVDs debut?

Where are people getting this $49.95 amount from? It seems a little steep. Curb seasons are going for $35-ish which seems more reasonable. Especially when you consider each episode of Seinfeld is only around 23 mins long, it's on network and cable daily, it's 10 years old etc. Curb episodes are longer and harder to come by.

Just wondering if people are talking out of their a**?

All this talk of the cover design! Just be glad it's finally coming out—up until now it's been, "NO DVD FOR YOU...NEXT!" I also have every episode on VHS. I even cut out the episode description from TV Guide (NOT one of Frank Costanza's, though!) and pasted it on the VHS tape jacket so I could locate a particular episode. Now that's addicted!!!

Huge fan of the show. Been watching it since I was 2 yrs old. Kramer is my favorite character, while I love them all, on Seinfeld. I even have a poster of 'The Kramer' on my wall in my room. It's framed. People always have to look twice and ask me "Why?," but I love that poster. And I love Seinfeld.

If I were to create a cover for the Seinfeld DVD. It would be anything of Kramer. The painting ('The Kramer'), Technicolor Dreamcoat, him sitting on the back of the fire engine, or maybe the Junior Mint. If it was a pic of George, I'd choose maybe 'The Timeless Art of Seduction,' The Gortex Jacket, him scarfing the ice cream at the tennis match, or maybe "Geroge is gettin' upset!" If it was Elaine, I'd coose the Urban Sumbrero, "I'm George!," her smoking the cigar, or maybe Little Kicks. If it was Jerry, I'd pick The Puffy Shirt, "Alright!," him laughing at George at Monk's, or maybe watching Elaine pay off the bet with the cigar in his mouth. There could be Newman going nuts with one of his tirades, Frank Costanza with the Bro/Manssiere, or Crazy Joe Divola in the clown costume. One of the "special gifts" could also be a license plate of "ASSMAN." Well whatever happens happens. I am so ecstatic to know it's coming out anyway.

That link is faulty. Has the cover and gift been decided?

I like the top right one and think that the coffee cups or the Chinese bowls would be best.

i'm from the UK and yes Seinfeld is being released here in October, Woo! And there is a very large fanbase in the Uk so im sure they will sell loads.
I also believe that it will be heavily advertised to get more people to buy it who haven't been able to see it on tv
