DELETED CAREER
from "Countdown with Keith Olbermann" Jan 25, 2008

When Marie Lupe Cooley, from Jacksonville, saw a help wanted ad in her local paper describing her job, and listing her architect boss' home phone number, she wigged out! She went to the office, she erased everything they had put in their computer system for the last seven years. She did 2.5 million dollars worth of damage. Only one problem... the want ad had not been placed by her boss, but by her boss' wife... who wanted someone just like Miss Cooley to work at her company.

Yep... and it didn't take very long either.

Driver of car that struck and killed dog sues dog owners

THE ASSOCIATED PRESS

07/05/2008 6:59:00 AM

DULUTH, Minn. - The driver of a car that struck and killed a dog in Minnesota is suing the dog's owners for damage done to his vehicle.

Jeffery Ely was driving near Duluth, Minnesota, on January 4th when Fester, a miniature pinscher, ran into the road.

Ely's 1997 Honda Civic struck Fester, killing the 5.8-kilogram dog instantly.

Now Ely is suing Fester's owners for about $1,100 for damage to his car, time he had to take off from his two jobs to get the car repaired, and court fees.

Ely tells Duluth News Tribune he feels sorry for the family's loss but feels they must be responsible for their pets' actions.

Now, with all due sensitivity and discretion, bearing in mind the scope of the
situation, I can't help but think the dog bears some responsibility to compensate the other, still living "victim", of this horrendous, horrendous tragedy.
