Frank is such a classic. And to think that the original poster introduced the "Frank" character simply as "Geroge's (sic) father"! Perhaps the largest understatement on this board.

Yes he is! Anytime Frank Costanza entered a scene you knew a laugh and a half was coming. Very few characters on television have that type of presence.

GEORGE: You can't ground me, I'm a grown man.
FRANK: You wanna live here? You respect the rules of our house. You're
grounded! |

Have what was it called when Frank Costanza and his wife would be driving along in the car and he would come to a stop quickly and put his arm out in front of her to "keep her from jolting forward" but instead he was actually copping a feel????? What was the term they used in the show for it? It was hilarious, e-mail me if you got an answer...

Frank: There's a mechanism, you just pull it, and throw your bodyweight.
Estelle: I pulled it, it doesn't go.
Frank: If you want the leg room, say you want the leg room, don't blame the mechanism! |

Elaine: You were born in Italy?
Frank: Yeah, that's why I could never become president. That's also why, from an early age, I never had any interest in politics. THEY DON'T WANT ME, I DON'T WANT THEM.
Frank: I'm like the Phoenix, rising from Arizona.
Frank: Doctor gave me a relaxation cassette. When my blood pressure gets too high, the man on the tape tells me to say, 'Serenity now!'
George: Are you supposed to yell it?
Frank: The man on the tape wasn't specific.
