the joe peptone thing came in the episode where george bought the john voight car, and he wanted to find out the real spelling jon or john

Joe Pepitone worked in the Yankees front office during the 80's and maybe early 90's. Its possible that he worked there when George was there.

Joe Pepitone was pitching coach for Columbus in the early 80's. I tried to buy him a beer when I spotted him in the stands behind the plate in Richmond. I told him I saw him hit 2 home runs in the same inning at Yankee Stadium and tried to buy him a beer....he refused.
