You know I have watched the "Seinfeld" show for several years and I admired Michael Richards' character, Kramer. I thought he brought a new dimension to the show and I liked his eccentricity...But, now that his TRUE COLORS have come out a bad taste have been left in my mouth. I see how disassociated he is with society and with his supportors as an actor. i and fellow African-Americans are offended by his outrageous remarks and it shows us what he truly thinks of us. Thanks for letting me down...but, at the same time it opens my eyes further how racism still exists in 2006 and how insensitive and ignorant some people can be.....Thanks alot!

Kramer, we love you! Don't worry about what was said at the laugh factory. Your fans (real fans) understand and all will be forgotten. You have apologized, now move on with your life. It's not nearly as big a deal as it is being made out to be.

Michael Richards is my Aunt Sara's god son. She is my great aunt and Uncle Anthony was my grandmothers brother. I would like to meet him or email Michael. I think it would be pretty neat to catch up. I just dont know where to find the way to get an email to him.

The fact is we all have some racism in us. Look around the world. Every country has it.
This is a reality check for Michael Richards, but each of us should examine our conscience. The last time an obvious ethnic minority slipped in front of you in the check-out line did you think they were rude, or did you think they were a rude
@#$%!!?

Hey 'Heather' I know one sure fire place you go to see Richards. Get online and look to see when the next KKK meeting is. Richards will probably be the main speaker.

In a strange twist of politically correct irony, Jerry Seinfeld, who appeared last night on the David Letterman show in defense of his friend, Michael Richards, and his recent racial slur ridden tirade against African-Americans, made what I perceive as an equally egregious racial slur against those of Sicilian descent.

In what most likely flew over the heads of 99.99% of the viewing audience, Seinfeld characterized chopping the heads off of his children's clay figures as "Sicilian." Not "Mafiosi," nor "Corleone-like" but "Sicilian" ...

What made his remark even more striking was that fact that Michael Richards had just completed a national five minute heart felt apology to the African-American community. After which Seinfeld, one of America's most gifted comedic minds, went on to chat about his children. He characterized disciplining them as "mob like" ... before mentioning he'd become "Sicilian" in chopping the heads off their clay figures.

There are five million Americans of Sicilian descent, (including Nancy Pelosi, the new speaker of the house, 22% of the Supreme Court and possibly our next President R. Giulani) less than 1% of them have anything to do with organized crime much less chopping heads off or murdering. Yet, as we all know, through the propaganda of our media, it is perfectly acceptible to characterize them as murderers. Though it is no longer acceptible to characterize African-Americans as such (nor should it be).

Seinfeld, like most Americans and the American media, is not racist, just race ignorant; politically correct only when it suits their agenda and prone to covert stereotyping. Though the intent of Seinfeld's remark was "innocent" and without malice, it was profoundly unenlightened. And ironic, in light of recent events.

Everyone gets angry, and we've all been responsible for saying things we may not have really meant. My biggest concern is the comment Paul Rodriguez made about this issue. He stated "freedon of speech has its limitations!"
What a sad sorry country we live in if this is in fact true!!!!!!!!!!
I more angry at what he said than Mr. Richards!

The only reason why Seinfeld was on Letterman last night, was clearly for 'damage control' purposes. With season 7 being released shortly...who would want that bad publicity.

Does any else find it ironic that Dave Chappelle and other comedians who are black can go on racial triads without anyone blinking an eye, but when a white person does it they get yelled and and need to apologize? As far as I'm concerned Michael Richards did nothing wrong and he didn't owe an apology. It was a stand up routine, just the same as Dave Chappelle. It's not like he said it walking down the street or out of anger. Plus, the bottom line is he has the right to say what ever he wants, FREEDOM OF SPEECH. It makes me sick that there is such a double standard in our society.

Uh, no "Abby" he did say it in anger. He even said on Letterman that he was angry at the hecklers. He does have freedom of speech and he used it. I have the freedom of speech too to say he is a dumbass.
