I really wish that some of you would have read my posts on this site. You could have saved a few of you alot of trouble, and you never would have been scammed by these guys.

Ok, so I've been capturing the Seinfeld episodes from TBS when they air for about 6 months now, and excluding the episodes that were preempted by Braves games, I have almost 120 of them saved on my HDD now. They are high quality (DVD 6250 bps) captures with the commercials edited out. I don't know the legalities behind it, but if you want up to4 episodes, I will put them on a single DVD+R for you. The only cost to you will be the blank disk and postage. BUT I will only do 4 episodes per person for now, because I don't have all of them and I dont intend to make any money (therefore I do not want to waste my whole evening burning discs). So, please choose 5 episodes, in preference order, and email them to me, so there is an extra choice in case I don't have one you want. I hope only those who want them for their own personal collection will email me, and only select their favorite episodes! Episodes from Season 5 and later are more or less captured at this point, earlier episodes are hit and miss. Remember, buy the whole Seinfeld Set when it is finally released, to support the actors and producers!

If you have been scammed by TVshowsdirect or DVDshowsdirect please go to this site http://www.geocities.com/mattsfrag/alex.html

I plan to take this as far as it can go.

I'll bet a dollar that "pallbear" is part of the scam, emails to him bounce.

It's been about a month now and I still haven't gotten anything. I'm not really expecting to, either. I tried the site that Alex listed but got nothing from yahoo search. I also got an e-mail from someone wanting to know if I had any luck yet, and how terrible it was that someone was ripping people off and ruining it for "legit" people like himself who had the whole series on 23 discs. Fool me once... fool me twice, I don't think so.

I was too taken by scam. I was contacted via email ("colinw@dvdshows.com") that my purchase would be refunded through internet secure and to expect several e-mails in reference to this refund. I have been unable to receive a response since 10/15/03 from this e-mail address. Anyone that may have more information, please let me know.

Alex,

I'm not part of the scam. I really did get my DVDs.

The only reason email to me would bounce is if AOL was down or if you didn't remove the phrase NOSPAM from the address I gave. (In order to avoid bots trolling boards like this for email addresses people put phrases like NOSPAM in their address. That way they don't get spam and individuals can simply remove the NOSPAM part from the address and contact them.

I know how you feel though because when I wrote to autocadplease (one of the other people on here who said they got their DVDs) my email bounced.

Anyway I'm sorry to hear that you didn't get your dvds.

Paul

Hey Guys,

I have had the same problem as most of you. I purchasesd from both of these sites. I was refunded the first order by internet secure. The second order was refunded by my credit card company.

Here is what you can do. If you paid internet secure you can call them at 1-800-297-9482 or email them at sales@internetsecure.com. The person you need to speak with is Craig, he will refund your money. If you paid paypal, they are a bunch of idiots and will not refund your order. What you have to do in that case is contact your credit card company and let them know what happened. You made a purchase on the internet and never recieved your product. They will file a chargeback and credit your account. Then they get the money from paypal.

I am not sure what these guys are doing but when I called there local cops they said that they didnt handle internet problems and that sales on the internet are tricky. Several different cops said that no fraud has occured until they send you a bogus product. I explained the whole situation, they said this....."the company could always say that they are waiting to get the sets from there supplier or from the stores when they come out, then send them" Time factor can always be there way out.

As far as that Brampton address, it is bogus as well. I have a bunch of ICQ friends who live in Toronto, which is near Brampton. They went to that address and its some old couple who has never heard of this Martin guy. When my friends threatened the people, the old couple told them to come in and have a look in the basement and around the house if they wanted, my friends declined.

If anyone has any infor, keep it comming.

Klaus

Hej Lasse Hardis,

Same experience with the aforementioned *******direct.com . Bought on the 9/10 but nothing yet. Received a reply to day from Paypal (official route) it follows;

Our investigation has determined that the seller is at fault, but we were
unable to recover any funds from the seller's account. As stated in the
PayPal User Agreement, Buyer Complaint funds recovery cannot be guaranteed.

If this transaction took place on an auction site, we encourage you to
contact the auction site and see if they offer insurance coverage.
We appreciate your business, and regret this experience.

Dealing with the credit card company now as suggested by Brian D. PayPal staff are braindead by the way. Talk about talking to a brick wall!

Hey...Klaus

hi to all
i bought the dvd's on ebay about a year ago to a guy in nevada i think. It was 150 $, and i received them (in paris, france) a couple of days later. I watched every single one of them, the only problem is that the quality isn't top. it's probably a copy of a copy of a vhs. Nevertheless i'm desperately waiting for THE REAL THING!

FYI, in Paris I bought VHS of the first 5 seasons, with something like 4 or 5 episodes per tape, but only what was considered the best episodes of every season. It is weird because it was in a real shop, and it looks pretty "official" stuff to me.

I think it was probably for the UK or the Australian market, i'll let you know if it interests anybody.

Bye
