i just purchased the 23 dvd set and i just got it in the mail today. it's great, everything works and the quality very good.
the guy selling it was a pleasure to deal with and personally responded to my emails. the set was $230, but it was completely worth it considering it may be years before we ever receive the ENTIRE collection of seinfeld.
im just glad i found someone i could trust to order from. |

No Seinfeld season is bad! No Seinfeld episode is bad either! No soup for you!

If your worried about quality and your making a set of 45 DVD's, how can you charge 120? Thats about 2.50 per DVD. There is no was to do a set for that price per disc. Good discs alone are at least a buck if not more. Then you need cases which are like 30 cents paper and printing is at least 20 cents. Right now thats $1.50 per disc. You telling me your going to make a set and only profit 1 dollar per disc, thats $45 a set for you? I will buy every set you can make then sell them for double. BELIEVE ME, you cant make enought sets, you will always have more orders then sets, so why sell them for $120, you obiously have no business sence or have no clue what goes into making a set.
This guy will not come out with any set for this price, just telling stories. I have 3 duplicators, 4 speed burners with 4 drives in each. I can make about 20 sets a day, thats still not enough to keep up with orders. I sell them for $240-$260, 23 disc set.....im not advertising cause I dont need the orders, I have too many as it is.
If you can do what you say about these $120 45 disc sets, I will buy them all from you |

They should release at least 2 kinds of Seinfeld DVD sets. One affordable version for the average viewer, and one ultra super maxi plus version, for people like us. With so much extra material, backstage footage, bloopers, extra clips, commercials, scripts etc. that they have to use at least 1 disc per episode.
180 DVDs of madness, now wouldn't that be something!? I would never have to leave my house again... |

sorry for that outlandish comment of charging half of what some people charge now, I didnt mean to offend anyone
I was just guessing at what I'd sell them for, but if you want me to sell them more thats fine. Plus, I'm not even done yet so it doesn't even matter. I am curious how to fit 180 episodes at 6000 kbps on 23 disks, if you guys could tell me that be great.

Thats Bull.... Broady your sets probably have similar quality to the "Real" Broady in Seinfeld which means you don't know how to hold a camera let alone wash your hands. I have seen seinfeld sets on 23 DVD with cases and printing for $140. Not a rip off price of $200+ who would pay that much when they can get the same set for way less.
Please don't rip off fellow Seinfeld Fans. These people have been repressed for long enough and deserve a good quality set for a low price.
I hate Ebay and their DAM new 1 day auctions because its allowing these bootlegers like Broady to sell them at rip off prices! |

Will you all stop it already? Quit asking "where can I find Seinfeld on DVD...?" The answer is "NOWHERE!" Please, I beg you all, just wait for the official release!
They're coming! "Wheels are in motion!"
On the other hand, if you "still" want to get ripped-off, keep asking those dumb questions, I'm sure you'll find someone who will happily take your money.

Waiting for the official DVDs is very well, however, does anybody have the slightest idea of the price they will release them? Even without any bonus, the full collection would be amazingly more expensive than 140$, wouldn't it? I can't figure how much.
By the way, I'm French and I enjoy Seinfeld a lot, but sometimes I would find some english subtitles quite helpful. I have been looking for subtitles (in any text format) but I can't find any
. I find it weird nobody has made some subtitles from the scripts (of course it's a painful job, I have tried myself, but fansubs are very common in mangas for example). |

I wonder if there's going to be take-outs from the show. I just watched the clip-show episode, and the take-outs at the end are just fabulous, they are as good as the episodes themselves. I hope they'll include those in the DVDs. |

For what it's worth... I wrote Sony Pictures about a DVD release not that long ago and the response I got was “...until Sony Pictures stops releasing episodes/seasons into syndication, there will not be a DVD release.”
That does not sound promising... I don’t know how other sitcoms (i.e. Friends) can do it with those episodes still being shown???
Anyway, that is what I got... it’s nice to see other Seinfeld freaks out there |

Bebop... as far as I know, all Seinfeld episodes are closed captioned. So, if you have a TV that can display closed captions you can set your TV to show them.

Hey Stan, what do you think about the letter that Sony sent back about the DVD's a couple of responses up the page? Any more legitimate news you've heard about a release date or if they are for sure? Do you think they would ever bring the show back on air or do a get together for one show. I know i'm just wishing for Christmas but wouldn't it be nice.
Oh Mama...i know i'm going to lose that nail! Seinfeld forever!

jc, I think the response is interesting, but I don't think it represents the overall position at Sony. They recently signed a new syndication deal for Seinfeld, not I am not sure how long it will be. But I think they know that they can still make money on BOTH the syndication revenue and DVD sales, like other shows do that are still in syndication. There are even shows on DVD which continue to make new shows each year. I still think we will see a Seinfeld DVD before Christmas 2004 (at least season 1 & 2, or something). |

Hey Stan i just got a question for you, reffering to something jc said above, do you think there is any chance of a reunion show or something like that, where the whole cast get back together for a episode or two?
Just wondering and wishing if you have ever heard anything about a project like that cause it would kick some serious ass if there did that!!!
Giddy Up!!!

Pennypacker, Thanks, I forgot to answer that part of the question.
Sadly, I think the chances of a reunion show are not good.
The reason is the same reason they ended the show when they did - they went out on a high note. ("That's it for me!") They wanted the show's legacy to be of a show that went out on top and didn't deteriorate in its latter years. Any reunion show might affect that legacy. Same reason there wer no spin-off shows with one of the 4 chaarcters. So I doubt it very much. (But it would be cool to see even one more new episode, wouldn't it?)

Stan,
I do research everyday trying to find something new out and yesterday i found a couple of sites that have interviews with Jerry. The one is on variety.c__ and then the other which is just the whole interview is on dvdexclusive.c__. I just punch in seinfeld on dvd or something like that and it will come up. But anyway Jerry is saying on there he has no clue when they will come out but that there defintely working on them and it sounds like there working on alot of extras like bloopers he said at the end of each season they would have a role of a bunch of funnies so it might be worth the wait if there doing all that. I'm sorry about posting the site on here but i didn't know how else to show you. It's defintely worth reading both of them. He talks about alot more. He mentioned i'm pretty sure that Sony purchased everything and it's up to them but he's involved with what goes on the dvd's. Thanks for your info and keep me posted!
One spot...Two spot...zig, zag, tear........
I love the character page on here that your doing! What about doing a page with famous/funniest quotes?? Like this one, just a thought. Thanks again, JC |

jc, thanks for the info. No problems posting URLs or links to articles like this. Keep 'em coming.
This part I find interesting:
"... one of the things is trying to find outtakes and gag reels and stuff that we wanted to include. That has been a problem. Nobody seems to really know where that is. It's so funny. Things you never would think of when you're making a show, when you cut a scene, that you're gonna want that 10 years later. You know, it never would cross your mind. We had no such notions back then."
