Vonda, can't wait to hear what you think about what you'll get. Is the quality decent, is everything on the discs, is it worth the money? |

Maaaaan, they will never release Seinfeld on DVD over here in the UK. The worst thing is the British media brand the show as BBC 2's best kept secret - but never show it. Well if it's that effin good (which it is) why don't they put it on more often, and not at 2am! Then at least I can tape the bastard! |

Rooney...watch your mouth. We are all anxious to have our own copy of Seinfeld on DVD. Instead of complaining, we can use the time to do more useful things in an effort to obtain the DVD. Stan the Caddy...you the man. Keep up the good work.
"But Jerry, its a write off." |

Maybe someone can help, does anyone know which episode of Seinfeld is where Elaine is in bed with Jerry, George and Kramer, and it turns out to be a bad dream? I saw that clip on TV while they were announcing the upcoming show but they didn't show the episode. Does anyone know? email me please.

i really love seinfeld, i find every single last episode funny. Firstly, i really hope Seinfeld comes out on DVD. Second, if there are really people on Ebay and other websites selling VCDs and DVDs of Seinfeld that they put together, isn't that illegal. If they put together episodes they have and selling them, that is illegally deceminating them. If there is a reason they are allowed to do this leagally, please tell me. |

I have the set on VHS I bought it off ebay 3 years ago$200.00. Looks like someone got a master set and copied it because each one has the episode number and date at the start and tests the sound then goes to the begining of that episode. I would be more then willing to pay $500.00 for the enitre show on DVD though. BTW it is illigal to sell taped copies and they banned that guy from ebay just after I got mine... still have his email if anyone is intrerested. |

It would be trementous if they finally release the best series ever.
I almost bought a homemade set, but i' rather wait for the official set.
When the first dvd'll release i think i would be fine to make this particular day public holiday... |

Here the quote from the article that trigger happy guy posted:
While many beloved series have found a new home on DVD and on viewers' shelves, a few holdouts such as Seinfeld and Northern Exposure remain — but not for long. DVD releases are in the works for both series.
No quoted source - "in the works" could mean anything. But let's hope that means we will se it soon! |

I contacted dvdshowsonline and asked them about the DVD's they're selling. This is what they had to say :
"This set is the real thing, all 180 episodes on DVD. However it is not an official release from NBC. I get this set from my UK supplier who owns the temporary rights until it is released in stored in 18-24 months. The quality is like satellite, better then TV, but not quite DVD. The set comes with cases and labels, they both have great artwork. The episodes are listed on the back of the cases If you are unhappy with the quality we would be happy to refund your purchase price."
Stan, why do you block out that website with "someotherwebsite" ? |

Where can I find this "someothersite" - I would really like to find out where I could buy the entire 180 episodes. Email me, if you don't want to or can't post it. |

a, it's blocked because this site does not offer free advertising, especially to people who are trying to deceive others. There is no UK supplier who owns the "temporary rights". In fact there is is no such thing as "temporary rights" - who ever heard of that? And the artwork sucks, that is plain to see from the images on the web site.
In fact, I just checked the web site, and it looks like it may have been shut down. Or he shut it down and pocketed the money that he has made in the past month (the site was only started about a month ago). I hope nobody here lost any money to the guy. |

Thanks for the info, Stan.
You're right, looks like the site has closed down. I guess a lot of people (including me!) would have felt foolish purchasing those DVD's after all. |
