Ive been making a complete set for myself(almost finished finally) ripping it off the satellite Harddrive

It will take at least 45 dvds to record without altering the audio or video. It definitly can not be done in 23 dvds, the bitrate would have to be half of what it is broadcast on the sat.

The average size of a dvd seinfeld episode without commercials is 950megs, thats 4 episodes per disc, and 45 disks. You will have to go substantially less then the broadcasted 6000 bitrate.

I have my computer hooked up to my tv, so im keeping them as mpgs which are substantially smaller than the dvd format at about 450mpgs at the same quality. I will be able to fit them on 10 double sided disks.

Do they air the Seinfeld Chronicles? i tape all of the Seinfelds everyday on my satelite receiver but have never come across any 1989 episodes. You mentioned in the one chat area that you think the 1st and 2nd season will be together...there was only 4 episodes in 1989, How come? Thanks for the input. Kosmo

Regarding the bootleg DVD's on eBay: Here's a little game I play. Once or twice a week, I type in "Seinfeld DVD" into the eBay search engine. If I see a bootleg DVD set for auction or sale, I immediately report it to eBay. Why do I do this?
- It's copyright infringement, plain and simple.
- A lot of people, including some of my friends, are getting ripped off, and left with no recourse as to getting their money back.
- The authorized DVDs will start coming out soon, and I'm sure they will be a quality product and worth the wait.

I'd probably be a lot more lenient (if not purchase a set myself) if Jerry and Larry came out and said "The show will never, ever, ever be released on DVD."

But it is.
And people are ripping off Seinfeld fans like us. And that's wrong.
So I continue to play my little eBay game.

So because it's a copyright infringement you report bootleg sales, but you would buy one yourself if the official set were not to be released.

Nothing hypocritical about that.

If it's never going to be released on DVD, then why would you encourage people to go to your www.seinfeld_media.com website and buy a copy?? It sounds remarkably like the *******direct site which was a scam.

I think I'll wait until it's officially released later on this year.
