Alright, I am very angry! I bought the set on September 10th and still have'nt received it. I've been calling since the day I was supposed to receive it. If he pocketed my money, I'm going up to Canada and beating this guy! I want what I paid for.

I bought the DVD from the mentioned site just before the site went down. I paid with my credit card via their 3rd party payement company (Interent Secure - which is verisign approved). Then the site went down and I couldn't get a hold of anyone - I was wooried! But, I received an email from a hotmail account saying they were having problems with their payment system and that they would be crediting me my payment and to pay via another third party site. The credit DID come through (checked with my bank) and I paid via the other payment system. The item was shipped that day c/w a tracking number. I recieved the package but haven't had time to view it yet. If this guy was a scam, I don't think he would have credited me my first payment. I think because he just started up, he is just finding the right system to process orders.

Well, it's good to hear that your payment was credited. It sounds like like he may really intend to ship a homemade DVD set. As I mentioned before, I don't think the quality is worth the price.

It is more likely however, that the company hosting the web site and payment system shut down the site. It looks like he has registered a new domain and payment system, with signifcantly reduced prices. (if you paid $270, you might not want to hear that the price is now $200). He will be probably do this until this site gets shut down, etc. Very "fly-by-night" if you ask me.

He did offer me a reduced rate and paid the shipping. I do agree that it is scary dealing with people like this - but I love Seinfeld so much I am willing to take the risk.

I don't know what site you guys are talking about, but the one i'm looking at is selling them for $175(with custom labels) or $150(without labels). If it's the same site, then that's bad news for people who pade $270

I have had a chance to watch some random episodes from the DVD set. The quality is generally 10 out of 10 compared to watching it on regular TV. There is the odd 8-9 out of 10 episode, but for a bootleg I am very happy. Worth the $200 I paid.

Just found this site and discussion - hurray that there's so many other Seinfeld loons out there. Wanted to let people know the I, too, have been burnt by some foul, heartless person in Canada (went by the name of Rashipoo) who has ninety of my quid but never sent me my Seinfeld on VHS. Sigh. That was an emotional couple of months, let me tell you. And yes, 'temporary rights in the UK' - hah! - if only!

For those you look into the DVD sets that are out there, make sure your DVD player can play DVD-R disks. I noticed that the DVD's from the set do not play properly on my 5+ year old player.

I can't take much more of this! The guys that I bought (but never received) my Senfeld set from now have a new website. *******direct .com I'v never even received the set I paid for and their already on their way to selling nothing (no pun intended) to other people! I wrote that site an e-mail stating that I bought DVDs from their first site, so hopefully I still have a chance. After all, there have been a few helpful people that wrote to me that they've received their DVDs. I feel like this little company is against me! I want my Seinfeld!

I warn you all: DO NOT PURCHASE ANYTHING FROM that site until I let you know what happens with the order I made back when these guys had a different website. I am having nothing but problems receiving my DVDs, but if they get back to me, and I get the product- Then I'll give the okay.

Anybody experience with this set/seller?
I probably will wait untill the official set comes out though.

The word is in: DO NOT ORDER ANYTHING FROM TVSHOWSDIRECT.COM!!! They are a fly-by-night operation and they will most likely rip you off. I have dealt with these clowns when they were previously under a different website (dvdshowsonline.com). If you need to know the details, please e-mail me. But trust me, just don't buy anything from them. You will most likely never get it.

EJ,

The contact details for TVSHOWSDIRECT.COM are listed on that site :
Martin Jacob,
TV Shows Direct
31 Bramcedar Crescent
Brampton,
Ontario L7A 1T3 CANADA

Are you sure it's the same as DVDSHOWSONLINE.COM ? The seinfeld stuff sure looks very similar... I could be wrong, but the contact name for DVDSHOWSONLINE.COM was Simon.

PS. did you get the info I sent you by e-mail?

Sorry" It seems I jumped the gun.
I have just read all your messages, and it appears you are wiser than I.
The site I mentioned above might not be too safe. I guess I'll just have to wait like all of you, I only hope they release Seinfeld quickly and not slow like they are doing with the MASH series.

a: Yes, I did get your e-mail about the contact information. *******direct .com is the second crappy company from the people behind dvdshowsonline.com. When I called the number for dvdshowsonline.com, I got an answering machine message from Martin. This is the same guy that helps run the new site. Also, if you look at the description, *******direct .com has the same products and product descriptions as the other website. Aside from that, the new website claims that it hs been in business for 15 years (HA). The last one claimed 55 years. I guess they wised up just a bit and realized that a company named dvdshowsonline.com could not possibly be in business for the past 55 years (idiots). They are one and the same. BEWARE.
