Well, I'm no film expert... but it seems a bit obvious that anything transferred directly from a digital virtual environment is going to be clearer than filming the real world, with real lighting, and real elements such as dust, haze, fog, ultra-violet light, etc. There is also complete control over the color balance, texture, focus, and contrast of each individual object in an animation. Can't really compete with that.
And I haven't seen the movie yet, and am not ashamed.
