You know how much I must love Seinfeld if I'm making a concerted effort to actually view -- rather than avoid -- Oprah... Very Happy

For those of you who missed it..... it went a little like this:

(commercial ends)... Welcome back, we're here with the cast of Seinfeld..... So, did any of you keep anything to take home from the show... Wait!... before you answer, we're gonna take a another quick break, then we'll be right back with the cast of SEINFELD! (audience cheers.... more commercials)

Jimmy's predictions were right. No men in the audience... just women who watch QVC, Dr. Phil, The View, and soaps! And they all got a free copy of the DVD set which they'll give away at Christmas time. Wonder how many of them asked if Tom Cruise could autograph it?

How long into the show before the cast is introduced? I don't want to watch any more of Oprah than is absolutely necessary... (I'm here in San Diego in pacific standard time)

Jerry comes on for about 15, then Jason for a few, then Julia, then Michael (each between commercials by about 40 minutes into it). Oprah does most of the talking. It's worth watching though. Julia looked like she was keeping from crying the whole time.

I watched Oprah for the first time ever today just for Seinfeld. It was also the last time I'll ever watch that crap. She talked over EVERYONE, including Jerry's wife. How did she ever get so popular? Between her and the annoying crowd who seemed to be in dire need of decaf there was hardly enough time for any of the Fab Four to speak. Then there were the neverending commercial breaks. The only thing of note that I recall was the mention of the Seinfeld Story replay (I assume it's the same one that was on the other day) on December 12. So, if you missed it the first time, well, now you have a second chance.

I assumed she was going to wrap up the show by asking them all what they're doing now and what their plans are (of course we know about Alexander), but... she never did.

Moops, you expected fat again, slim again, pointlessly running her mouth all the time again Oprah to ask a pertinent question? Smile

I'm surprised she didn't ask all three what it was like to work with John F. Kennedy, Jr, or something - or ask what part Brad Pitt might play if the show were still running today.

Hey....I'm a woman and I agree with all of you. That audience is so ridiculous, clapping at the end of EVERY sentence. Rolling Eyes And Oprah, give me a break. At least give them a chance to answer the questions you ask. She's a moron.

It was nice to see the cast nonetheless. Very Happy

Everyone is so right....Oprah is totally a sentence finisher. I could not believe how rude she was...constantly interrupting. Sheesh!
And the commercials were out of control too. Oxygen (another cable channel for women....where are they when the check comes?) played an "after show" at 7pm last night. It was more of Oprah interviewing herself. But Jason told a nice story about the last show and during their classic "huddle" Jerry says to them "From now on whenever someone thinks of one of us, they will think of all of us and I can't imagine three other people I'd rather have that be true of".
