The It Girl

Ok, it seems that many of you are getting bored so I'm going to suggest a topic to get us thinking and doing something I think we would all love to do anyway. If you don't like it, there is no need to bash me, simply don't post.

Let's try to create our own episode by either using quotes from the show (either being spoken by the original character or it can be spoken by a different character) or by making up our own dialogue that delivers the same flavor as our heroes would. You know, "with callous indifference and utter disregard for everything that is good and decent and has rocked the very foundation upon which our society is built" (The Honorable Judge Vandelay).

I'll start...let's call it The Reunited. Jerry and Elaine decide that no one else will have them so they decide to marry each other.

Elaine: Ok Jerome. I'm in. Maybe we should get married. Maybe everything we need is right here in front of us. Jer... let's do it.

Jerry: Alright, sir. But there must be some rules. First, I cannot emphasize this enough, absolutely no soft cheeses of any kind at the reception and second, I implore you, NO DANCING.

Elaine: But I really like to dance.

Because, in this case, it is best to develop refusals.

'Because, in this case, it is best to develop refusals.'

i was trying to recreate that scene in The Package where the delivery guy says, in his broken english, 'are you refusing delivery', jerry says 'maybe' and the guy says 'why would you do that?', jerry says 'i've never done it before' and the guy says 'why start now?'...then they give each other that stare...brilliant Very Happy Bit of plagiarism, i know, but thought we could 'borrow' bits of other episodes for our own...

Packer, you needn't have explained your reference, it was obvious. Mine was a play on the reversal of words, as has been done several times in the episodes, especially by Jerry......

Who says need not? Did we call for 18th century England day? Then, who abbreviates it?

J. Chiles, that's who. Jackie, you can wear your 3500 posts like its some badge of authority, but why the arrogant, condescending remarks EVERY time somebody opens their mouth.

And another thing, at least half of your posts on the "quotes" thread don't make any sense.

I've enjoyed my two weeks and all, but it's ridiculous that people can't come hear and feel like they can talk about Seinfeld on a Seinfeld website without being knocked for it. It's kind of a joke, and if your life's reach doesn't extend any further than being "Seinfeld website expert guy who makes fun of people who haven't read every post before they write something," then you're kind of a joke too. Adios.

Gee, "Jay", I'm hurt. If you're offended by what you term arrogant remarks, review some of your own. And, if you're complaining about the mistreatment of "new" members, you're barking up the wrong tree in accusing me. But anyway, glad you enjoyed your "two weeks". And you needn't say Adios. Regards is fine.

(If I might--It Girl must be busy or something, but before we turn to page two..... I think this thread is supposed to read like a script. E.g., Jerry: Not Yet. Elaine: OK. Forget that idea. It's not for you....... If we keep going the way we're going, by page two we won't know which character in our "script" is saying which line. It'll just be another quote thread, which we don't need........ Please, It Girl, chime-in here somewhere.)

Ok, It Girl certainly has something here that just needs to be tweeked a bit. but before we start, we should get some things straight, or else it'll just be a stranger version of the quote game. We need some very basic story lines for all the characters. Ok, how about this: Fresh off two disastrous dates, the two decide to just get married (which i'm hoping will blowup at the end). Meanwhile George gets unknowingly gets set-up with a 23 year old. Kramer upon meeting George's new girlfriend, begins hanging around College kids. And i'm guessing, we can have some time where Kramer and George react to the wedding. That sounds good right? If you guys are ok with that, then let's start over, but this time instead of just a line, people should post a few lines. So they can at least get in some good dialogue going.

Who says you need a story? Forget the story.

(OK, that was a cheap joke. I think It Girl gave us enough to start the Elaine-Jerry marriage story. But if we need something more flesh-out, fine. I can see that we don't have any hooks to put Kramer and George on. But then again, maybe It Girl saw these two as peripheral here, unlike their roles in the show. Whatever. I'd like more direction from It Girl on all this.)

Characters:

Jerry's date - Sheryl Tweed
Elaine's date - Adam Moyer
George's girl - Christie

Opening Scene:
(at a restaurant, Jerry and date are meeting for the first time. Jerry walks up to woman standing in front of the door from behind)

Jerry: Hi Sheryl?

(Sheryl turns around and has a huge birthmark on her left eye.)

Sheryl: You must be Jerry. (Extending her hand to shake)

(Jerry just looks perplexed.)

(At a park, Elaine and her date are walking)

Elaine: Don't you think they should separate the parks into two groups: Adults allowed in one, Kids and old people in the other. (laughing) That way people can swear all they want and know that all the park benches aren't taken.

Adam: Interesting thought. You find the need to shout obsenities in public parks (smiling)

(A beautiful looking girl walks up to them)

Girl: Hey Adam, what's up, babe?

Adam: Liz, how you doing? Oh nothing, just killing some time (Elaine waits patiently to be introduced)

Liz: Alright, well, i gotta run, but call me tonight, ok baby? (Gives Adam a big wet kiss as Elaine looks on in shock.)

Adam: Sure. (As girl walks away) So you were saying?...

(Probably someone should start a new scene with all four at Monk's where they talk about the dates. George should mention how he's getting setup and of course there's room for some meaningless banther.)

And one of you want to be my latex salesman...

Jackie and Jay...Come on, break it up! What's the matter with you? Now don't you two see that you're in love with each other? I mean, why can't you face that already? You're running around out there looking for something that's not even there, when everything that you dream of is right here in front of you. Now why can't you admit that?

Ok, sorry it took me a while to get back. As I said over in the "quotes" page, I'm at the beach so my postings only happen in the morning and the evening (I mean I love you guys and all but hey a girl has needs). Cousin, you've read my mind. This is what I have in mind and I like where your story summary is going. We can have a lot of fun with this one. Now, if we can all just stay on track and keep this thing sophisticated.
