I agree with Mulva and Jose that the episode where he condemns Elaine to hell is the best Puddy showing:
Elaine: David, I'm going to hell! The worst place in the world! With devils
and those caves and the ragged clothing! And the heat! My god, the heat! I mean, what do you think about all that?

Another classic Puddy scene was in "The Dealership" after him & Elaine split up. The way he tried to stick it to Jerry was hilarious!
PUDDY: Transport charge, storage surcharge, additional overcharge, finder’s fee...
JERRY: "Finder’s fee?!" It was on the lot!
PUDDY: Yeah, that’s right. Floor mats, keys...
JERRY: Keys?!
PUDDY: How ya gonna start it?
