I've used the script search to try and find this, but no luck. Does anyone know the name of the episode where George phones Jerry and speaks really fast, only for Jerry to say "Who is this?". George then starts banging the phone handset against the phone. I think George was in a phone booth, but I can't be sure. Any ideas, anyone?

Hey Allan, I think the episode you're thinking of is "The Boyfriend (part 1)" with Keith Hernandez. There is a scene where George is trying to call Jerry and Kramer answers and refuses to take the call. George then begins banging phone. I hope this is the episode you were looking for.

No, I think this is from the episode where George and Susan are going to the cabin. George's car is at Yankee Stadium and he needs Jerry to remove the chinese restaurant flyers from his car.
Don't remember the episode name and the episode guide appears to be down.
Maybe this will point you in some kind of direction.

Ah, you may be right warsaw. I'm not sure though but that episode was "The Caddy." He does have an outburst there as well.

He has an outburst like that when he accidently burns up the photo of "Man-Hands" that he uses to gain entry to the Forbidden City of beautiful women. He calls Jerry desperate for another photo.

Ok this is gonna be more than you asked for:

First "The Caddy"...I don't recall a rampage.

"The Nap" was close Sad No phone banging, just the classic delivery)
GEORGE: Jerry, I'm trapped under my desk. Steinbrenner is in the room. You got to help me.
JERRY: Who is this?

"The Boyfriend" mentioned above is close but Kramer, not Jerry (but with the hitting and the phone booth):

GEORGE: (Frantically) Jerry, Jerry?
KRAMER: George?
GEORGE: Kramer put Jerry on the phone.
KRAMER: (Angrily) Yeah, look I'm in the middle of something. Call back.
GEORGE: Kramer!! Kramer no!!
[Phone Booth]
GEORGE: hitting phone

A parody in "The Dealership" (classic all the elements, except with Jerry and Elaine):

JERRY: (Over the phone) Elaine, you’ve got to get back down to the dealer. Puddy is screwin’ me on this car, which is yellow now!
ELAINE: (Jokingly mimicking Jerry) Who is this?
JERRY: (Banging the phone against the booth) Elaine!
(Elaine flinches with every loud banging noise)

And the closest I could find is "The Checks" (Jerry mixes up the "who is this?" bit)

JERRY: Yeah?
GEORGE: (panicked and rushed) Jerry! The Japanese guys had sake in the
hot-tub! You gotta get 'em outta the drawers and get 'em down here, or I
don't have a focus group to sell the pilot to Japanese TV!
JERRY: (kidding) Uncle Leo?
GEORGE: (scream) Jerry!!
George begins hammering the phone against the kiosk. Jerry lifts the phone
away from his ear at the noise.

It happened a few times..

One of them, anyway, was when George was trapped under his desk at Yankee Stadium. He phoned Jerry to ask if he could phone in a bomb threat. He did this so that he could escape from under his desk before his boss, George Steinbrenner, found him hiding and sleeping "on-the-job."
