Okay, I'll lay it right out. I want to see who will win if "The Contest" is not involved. So I'm giving the final six, minus "The Contest", so go ahead and vote. My vote goes for "The Jimmy", I always lose it at the end when Mel is singing to Kramer.

hmmmm...It's almost a tie between "The Jimmy" and "The Merv".
I have to give it to "The Merv Griffin Show".

9. The Pitch - "Artistic integrity? Where did you come up with that? You're not artistic and you have no integrity.
8. The Merv Griffin Show - "You drugged a woman in order to take advantage of her toys?!"
7. The Muffin Tops - "The last thing this guy's qualified to give a tour of is reality."
6. The Label Maker - "Risk, the game of world domination, being played by two guys who can barely run their own lives."
5. The Hot Tub - "This son of a bitch is ice cold."
4. The Outing - "Do you want to have sex right now?!?"
3. The Junior Mint - "Yes, I look forward to many years of looking at the triangles."
2. The Implants - "I think you're both mentally ill."

Merv looks like the favorite so far. I was just curious who would win without "The Contest", looks like Merv is a popular pick.

The Strike-

The Jimmy-1

The Merv Griffin Show-3

The Hamptons-

"The Merv Griffin Show" is also the "Deal with the Pigeons (and squirrels)" episode. It's also the "Drug the girl with the Toy Collection" episode. And the "Lou Filerman the Sidler" ep. It's a classic.
Besides, you gotta love an episode who's opening lines are:
JERRY: Why were you making gravel?
Kramer: Well, I like the sound it makes when I walk on it.
Gotta love it.

Tough one between Hampton and Merv.

I Go with Merv Griffin.

I don't understand the big deal with the contest, there is NO great quotes out of this episode, nothing SUPER SUPER funny, it's just had a great concept. I admit it's one of the good episode probably, in the Top 15 in my opinion. The OUTING is a better episode than the Contest.

I pick The Jimmy Read the script of The Jimmy Download the full epiosde video of The Jimmy Discuss The Jimmy out this group. That Mel Torme seen at the end is hilarious. Laughing

I am not sure I would say it is my all-time fav though. Mine tends to change. For a long time, it was The Shoes Read the script of The Shoes Download the full epiosde video of The Shoes Discuss The Shoes . I also like The Andrea Doria Read the script of The Andrea Doria Download the full epiosde video of The Andrea Doria Discuss The Andrea Doria ("Ahoy, Mr. Eldridge!") and The Hot Tub Read the script of The Hot Tub Download the full epiosde video of The Hot Tub Discuss The Hot Tub ("This son of a bitch is ice cold."). And who can leave out The Library Read the script of The Library Download the full epiosde video of The Library Discuss The Library , with what is perhaps the funniest scene ever in Seinfeld, with Inspector Bookman: "Sure, we're too old to change the world, but what about that kid, sitting down, opening a book, right now, in a branch at the local library and finding drawings of pee-pees and wee-wees on the Cat in the Hat and the Five Chinese Brothers?"

I agree with Stan and the others who picked "The Jimmy," although "The Hamptons" would be a close second from this list. This is a brutal category. Nearly every episode from the 4th and 5th seasons could make a "Top Five."

The 4th & 5th seasons (and maybe the 6th) are the Magellans of "Seinfeld." Who do you like, Bubsterdoofus? DeSoto?
