...and her glass eye doing commercials throughout the 70's, what other legendary commercials do you remember on local tv from back then?

Cal Worthington and his dog, Spot. (go see Cal, go see Cal, go see Cal..)

Zachary All (cadet, extra short, regular, long, extra long and portlies)

Ralph Williams (hi friends, Ralph Williams, Ralph Williams Ford)

Pete Ellis Dodge (Pete Ellis Dodge, Long Beach freeway, Firestone exit, Southgate)

Earl Schieb ("I'll wreck- uhhh- paint any car, any color for twenty-nine ninety-five! Riiiight!)

Al Greenwood (the bedspread king)

Wilson's House Of Suede

Carpeteria

But there were also great National ads back then, too, such as:

Folger's coffee featuring Mrs. Olson

Samsonite luggage

Right Guard deodorant (Mona!!)

Alka Seltzer (I can't believe I ate the whole thing)

Miller Lite (tastes great- less filling)

If you want taste, drink a Coke... if you want a buzz, hold your breath, take a giant swig, then breathe from only your mouth. You'll no longer require your favorite beer on hand. Smile

That concludes this weeks drinking lesson. Stay tune next week for "Wine: Who Needs A Glass?"

Smile I've tried that line at parties (one of my favorites) complete with the slamming of the can... needless to say it doesn't go over very well... even with those self-proclaimed Seinfeld fans. No one's a bigger idiot than me.

People who don't know all the lines should stay in!
