Hey, I'm in Scotland and got mine yesterday. These DVD's are the most well executed in terms of extras and attention to detail I have in my collection. First of all the picture is crystal sharp and the sound is a revelation, the voices actually sound squeakier as if the sound tape has been polished sqeaky clean.

The bloopers are hillarious, watching Jerry, Julia and Jason falling about laughing is as funny as most of the episodes. I was actually shocked to see how serious Michael Richards behaved on set, he really is the complete opposite of Kramer, rarely joining in with the laughs.

The making-of is very insightful, Larry David's contributions are usually the best. Lots of new stuff I had no idea of even as a big Seinfeld fan, lots of backtrack on the battle David had with NBC execs etc. David and Seinfeld's audio commentaries aren't actually all that amazing, there's long periods of silence a-la the Curb commentary on the Season One disc.

Inside Looks give a lot more background on each individial episode than the docu. The Inside look on The Boyfriend is particularly interesting, how they filmed the JFK mock-up etc. The Chinese Restaurant Inside Look gives a lot of info into how shocked NBC execs were with the lack of individual scenes in the script. And living here in the UK, the NBC original promos was very interesting to me (ie: long monologues from Jerry on how Seinfeld was moving timeslots.)

The deleted scenes are usually very short, just a couple of lines deleted from a few episodes, most don't add anything big to the stories.

I won't spoil anymore for folks that don't have it yet, only to say you will NOT be dissappointed, stayed up well into the night last night seeing the most I could before I had to fall asleep. Only wish UK version came with the gifts Sad

i got them too! go nz and australia! the box designs are different and I think slightly nicer. the pics are the same, but the blue border is gone. The menus are really clever, like the coffee shop, the chinese restaurant, jerrys apartment. what a great purchase! The commentaries with larry david, jerry, julia, and michael richards are hilarious. to hear them crack up at themselves is so funny.

Knoxy - fantastic description thanks.

Sadly contrasting with the contribution of our idiot Antipodean cousins. Go Australia / NZ indeed.

I must mention that I live in Israel and I got my copy yesterday. For the first time, something is released in Israel even before America! Usually we have to wait as much as a few months (or a few weeks, in the best case scenario) before anything is released here. I can't even begin to describe my amount of satisfaction.

Sorry Golden boy, another of your "idiot" antipodean cousins here. Excuse us our excitement for getting the dvd's first. Perhaps if you want a review you could go to one of the many sites where reviews are posted. Let them savour the moment when they receive something before the rest of the world for once instead of having to be put down by a killjoy like yourself.

Ive got them both (im in Aus) and they are everything I expected. The "making of Seinfeld" extra was quite interesting as was the original pilot episode - Jerry's appartment looked totally different than in the normal episodes.

I read somewhere that Aus got it first because they are still airing the show in the US and wanted to get high ratings during the month wait of the DVD's. The show isnt aired in Aus anymore so thats probably why they released it earlier.

Lets hope they dont take another 5 years to release Seasons 4-6 Rolling Eyes

I note that our coverart is much better that the US's. (might be a matter of opinion of course)
