I'm not sure if many people know just how great cereal is. When you think about it, cereal is quite awesome. When I eat, my drink is usually gone before I have a chance to finish my food. This can be problematic, because I like to keep drinks refrigerated at all times, and laziness keeps me from getting up to refill them. So the end of my meal is usually ruined by my incessant thirst. But when I eat cereal, evertime I take a bite there is milk (or in my case soy milk) to soothe that thirst. Another great thing about cereal is that it takes so long to get soggy. I submerged a single cheerio in a glass of milk for one whole minute, and it still retained most of it's chunchiness. However, when this same experiment is done with a Chips ahoy chocolate chip cookie, it takes a mere 20 seconds to dissolve it into a clump of soggy crums (test results may very, but you get the main idea). I mean they have to be doing somtehing extra to keep it from getting soggy. I always imagine like glucose molecules battling it out with little milk particles until finally the sugar is forced into defeat. And have you ever noticed how the density is so perfect that no matter how hard you try, it's almost impossible to keep a whole piece under with just a spoon? When you think about all that, you start to realize just why Jerry likes cereal so much.
