...I was in LA, on vacation, and I see Larry David walking across the other side of the street. So I find a pen and paper and run over to him, say hi, and try to act as charming as possible without sounding gushy. I ask for his autograph, but he says "I'll do you one better, how'd you like to come in tomorrow and be an extra on my show?" I obviously say ok, and show up to the taping, but when they need someone to read for one of the guest roles, they ask me to do it, and I totally impress the crew. Next thing I know, I'm on stage at the Emmy's accepting my award for outstanding guest role on a Comedy Series. First thing I say is "You know it's strange, when Brad Garrett wins an Emmy or Edie Falco wins an Emmy, i'm sure they put them on a mantle next to their Golden Globes and People's Choice Awards. When I get home, i'll be putting this next to my old hockey trophies from when I was 10."
Just thought i'd share that with you fine people.
