A friend of mine at work told me that Jerry was gonna be doing a show in Knoxville TN, which is like 1 hour from where I live. I was so excited, I immediatly went to my computer when I got home and ordered the tickets. I chose best availible and it put me in 1st balcony Right Center, Row H which is the last row of that balcony. I don't care though cause I get to see my favorite comedian live. Well I guess I'll get on with my questions. What should I expect? I have the live on Broadway DVD and Iknow that he has retired all of his old stuff, so what kinda stuff is he doing now and where is a good site to get in depth reviews of his stand up? Tickets were $76 for Balcony seats! Also what would the merchandise be like? I've been a fan for years but I have never saw him live.

*seen* him live.

Anyway, congratulations. I'm going to see him for the first time live as well, only in Montreal. I think his new material is based a lot on family, which is understandable. I saw his documentary Comedian, and he did some other stuff too like terrorists, and cheese-crust pizza. That's about all i can tell you. And I have no idea if comedians have merchandise at their shows. Somehow, i doubt that is the case, however i wish it were true. Didn't Vegetable Lasagna recently go to a show? I'm sure he can give you more info on that, and he might be able to provide a review while he's at it.

Anyway, enjoy the show and come back to give a review of your own.

Well, Jeffrey.... If someone has ever heckled Jerry with you in the audience, Jimmy would hope that you didn't shove your head too far up their ass in admiration. After all, you're quite famous for that with countless forum losers since you've been here.

Maybe d_tech is waiting for his friend to come back.... you should go check. Looks like you've picked another real winner (as usual).

I thought he was dutch. Confused

So what would you suggest i do? Would you rather i tell this guy to get lost and never come back because his tickets weren't that good? That if he were a real fan, he would have sprung for the first row, $500 tickets from a scalper? Because if that's what you want me to do, you know, i'll go ahead and i'll do it........I swear to God i will!.....Don't think I won't, Jimmy!

PS: You know it's funny, you guys keep saying we don't need pieces of trash like d_tech here, but when they're gone, you guys are either complaining about how boring this place is, or your busy fighting amongst the other regulars. I mean, c'mon man, make a decision. And i thought we all agreed to be a little nicer and more patient with the newbies (not d_tech, but this guy certainly qualifies). Now let's all just relax, take a soak.

I know the rolling eyes emoticon can really get you going. Maybe in retrospect, it was not a good idea. Live and learn, i guess.

I've never complained that this place is boring because there are no idiots like that around. I've said that I HOPE it doesn't get boring if everyone's scared to offend someone else. Aplogising for using a smiley is a good example of that.
And continuously jumping on a band-wagon that ends up crashing is definitely not a better solution.

So, what i posted in this thread was appropriate? Inappropriate? Should i have let him have it? Should i have told him to go to hell? Should i have found out where he lives in Tennessee and sent him a cat's severed head? Would somebody please tell me?

And if you're referring to d_tech when you talk about jumping on a bandwagon, let me point this out. All i said was it's funny how Jimmy lost his patience with someone who didn't have enough patience. His sarcastic remark about the car was obviously showing that he thought all this disclaimer talk was a bit much. You guys can say what you want, but i stand by my remark. If that's bandwagon jumping, then i guess i'm a bandwagon jumper. Otherwise i call it a funny observation. Am i required to back you guys up on every tiff you guys have with someone? Fight your own battles. And i know you'll say that you don't need me to fight your battles, and i'm not disagreeing. But i certainly didn't side with d_tech. I didn't side with anyone. All i said was i liked the pen!

PS: when i first came here, i was against all smiley's. And over the last few weeks, i've strayed a bit from my promise never to use them. So i'm going to try not to use them at all, that way i won't need to apologize for them either. But if it's any consolation, Gendison, my last post was not a sincere apology.

You seem to be making up your own accusations, there Jeff. I don't see anyone telling you that posting anywhere was inappropriate. But, I don't think it takes a huge amount of intelligence to see that d_tech's commetns were considere totally rediculous and made no sense by anyone reading them. He's obviously a regular here who was waiting for an opportunity to jump on one of the other regulars, or maybe more precisely Jimmy and maybe myself. But, he was too much of a sissy-coward to use his real handle (which you had trouble understanding when I said "not using his real name"). So, when you're the only one that lines up with somoene that obviously doesn't have a leg to stand on and is just looking for trouble (yet isn't very good at it), you'll get called out for it.

Personally, I consider you one of the regulars here, and I like you. Let's leave it at that. I have no reason to get into a "tiff" with you, either.

Ah, Gendison, you always know exactly what to say.

But, and not that i'm angry here, but how did i line up with d_tech? You didn't like my impatience with impatience remark? I thought it was at least marginally clever. That was all i said. I would have posted that before d_tech got involved.

And, BTW, of course i understood your "fake names" comment. You'll remember we went over that last time when Wibble was around. I was just being folksy. My pathetic attempt at comedy.

I aplogise if I didn't catch it.
Sorry man, I got a cockfight to prepare for.

What's even funnier is that there is absolutely no statement indicating Jimmy was impatience. Being a smart-ass isn't being impatience. Jimmy likes you too. Jimmy tells his friends and bandmates that they're full of shit all the time, then goes out with them for a beer afterwards. Just wanted to harrass you for jumping into bed with the guy, then throwing your clothes on to run out the fire escape when you realized he, too, was an asshole.

As for the guy with the tickets... this had nothing to do with him or this thread.

To Gendison: What you do say about a guy like this, huh? You are some great friend, I tell ya... embarrassed him! NOT THAT JIMMY CONDONES IT!! Jimmy's never condoned embarrassing in his administration. But your loyalty is beyond question.
