For those of you who have not already figured out BT, here is some helpful info. If you are behind a router, it is imperative that you enable ports 6881-6889 for BT downloads to go quicker. This enables you to open several connection simultaneously. Otherwise, you speeds will suffer. If you dont know how to open ports on your router, contact you router manufacturer and inguire. It is worth it. I was getting a max of around 20 KB/sec before I opened the ports. Now I get my maximum download speed (150 KB/sec) 5 mins after I start the download.

I have a couple of questions about this:

1. On some other threads it says to forward ports 6881-6999 and you say 6881-6889. I'm assuming either one would work but I wanted to make sure.

2. I am given the choice of TCP or UDP, I have no idea what those mean. Which one should I pick.

I have set it up the way I believe is right and I'm not seeing much of a difference in the download speed, that is why I'm asking these questions.

Thanks in advance.
