everybody agrees that Green Day's song "time of your life (good riddance)" was the best choice to end the the best tv series of all time.

Well to me it was just perfect, Green Day is my favorite band and "time of your life" is my favorite song, oooh and also seinfeld is my favorite tv show of all time.. has anyone had that feeling im talkin about, two of your favorite things in life combine to make ONE perfect thing, oh man it just feels like heaven..

and here's why i think it was the perfect song to make a conmemorative video...

"It's something unpredictable but it the end is right, i hope you had the time of your life"

They do write good music, but the singer sounds like he's choking on his own snot. Can't stand listening to him. He needs to blows his damn nose already.

... and how the hell do you hang something on a shelf? Shouldn't it be "hang it on a wall" or "set it on a shelf?"

Jimmy turns the volume down during that clip. Good riddance to that guy when he retires.

you can't take musicians lyrics literally, the greatest songs of all time are written metaphoriclly..

he uses hang meaning to save the best memories of something in a shelf as it was a spot in our mind

can someone help me out?
I need to know the episode and the date that Jerry previous non-vomit record was (not including the dry heaves) I think it was June 26, 1980 but I'm not sure.

I do not hang them on the floor.
I do not hang them on the door.
I do not hang them on a shelf.
I do not hang them on an elf.
I'd hang 'em on a cripple.

I'm partial to Jimmy Buffett's "Poutine in Paradise".

Hmmm, that's not what you said in the first sentence of your opening post. Maybe you shouldn't have assumed anything in the first place.

Jimmy would've used anything from Motlëy Crüe, to Dolly Parton. You know, people who can actually sing.

... and by the way... Jimmy knows what metaphors are. It still no good for the metaphor to not make any sense.

Saying that saving memories in your mind is like "hanging" them on a shelf, is as meaningless as saying "I need you like a dog needs a clock... instead of a "bone!" The comparison has to make sense also. You can't HANG something ON a shelf! maybe FROM a shelf, or ABOVE a shelf, but not ON a shelf. (nice guitar, though).
