It seems "StanTheCaddy" had vanished. It seems you should not run a website if you cannot properly maintain it. Why have a download section when it does not work? Why have a forum section when the "operator" does not answer questions adressed to him. It's alot of work to maintain a website especially one that has a forum section with posts / questions posted 24 hrs. / day. Just my opinion. Anyone care to comment?

I agree that it can be frustrating when things dont work, but I think the website is good. It is being provided free (aside from advertising exposure) so it is hard to complain. The forum was started by Stan so fans could discuss things. Once the ball has started rolling, the forum really belongs to everyone, not just Stan. Anyone can answer most questions that people have directed to Stan aside from website technical questions. Whilst it does have some technical problems, I realy enjoy the other parts of the website, especially the forum.

However when you have technical issues, and technical questions reguarding those issues, seems the "operator" should be a little more didcated. Scroll to the bottom of the general forum page, how many comments are there reguarding downloads not working, links not working, etc... why have a download section when none work. And even more, why have a forum where people direct specific questions technical or not when you are not going to answer them.

That is a good point I guess. I am guessing he can't be bothered answering the same questions 100 times and may just make an announcement regarding the problems the site is having. It seems like there is strong demand for the downloads.

Noone has been able to download for months, and even when you can connect to a download, it's at about 1.67bbs. You can download a 1.5meg game from Yahoo on dial-up faster than this site. Is stanthecaddy.com run on a dial-up server or what???

And stan has not made a single post or entry since roughly about the beginning of November. If you can't maintain it daily, don't run it.

Guys, Stan just got married, so please cut him some slack. I'm sure he's had better things to do lately and he'll return once he's done decompressing.

Rio has got it right Smile

Sorry all, I just got back from my honeymoon. I have been in Egypt for the past 2 weeks, so I have not had access to the Internet. That's why I haven't posted any messages or answered any questions. I will be pretty busy over the next few days, but I will try to read all the messages that I missed and answer questions.

With regard to the downloads, my videos serve went down soon after I left (about Nov 14). It is working now. That said, when it is working, it can be quite slow. The reason for this is that many people are trying to download episodes at the same time. The videos are hosted on a DSL connection. I would love to be able to provide a higher speed connection, but that would be very expensive. For those interested in collecting the episodes, you may want to try Kazaa. I share all my episodes on Kazaa, and the built-in load balancing of Kazaa may provide faster speeds overall.

WB stan

its quite amazing how impatient people can be when something does not float their boat

maybe next time most people can quit being trolls and remember that stan is offering a free service

or you may choose to purchase the seinfeld episodes yourself =)

happy holidays
