Last night Jay Buhner was inducted into the Mariners hall of fame at Safeco Field. He made a point of thanking George Steinbrenner for trading him and they started off the tribute by projecting the clip of Frank Costanza berating Big Stein on the giant video screen. Classic!

Bwahahaha, I'd like to have seen that. As a 40+ year Yankee fan, George is a double-edged sward. Most of the time, one remains a fan DESPITE of and not BECAUSE of George. He is NOT the affable dope as depicted by Larry David, of course.

Jay Buhnah wasn't the only good one traded. Like Jerry, I am well familiar with "the list"! Smile

Thanks for the info OW. That is hilarious. That Buhner had a rocket of an arm and could hit for power. Laughing

Evidently Jay was supposed to have made a cameo appearance on the show but the Mariners played a game the day before that went 16 innings, so he missed his chance. OUCH.
