Anyone notice that throughout the series when Jerry gets a girlfriend Elaine dislikes her and when Elaine gets a boyfreind Jerry dislikes him. I think this was the shows way of subtly hinting at the on going "relationship" between them.
For example:

When Elaine dates the Wiz Jerry finds out that about the commercials and starts making fun of Elaine

Anyone else find anything similar to this???

Yeah... If you've ever remained friends with someone, after being intimately involved with them, you can really give Julia and Jerry a lot of credit for showing this attitude in their characters. Even though you "want" things to work out for the other person's relationship, and you're not jealous in any way, you're ego is glad when it doesn't. Maybe it's just some kind of human, selfish, instinct that we all have, but don't want to realize. They did a great job with that.

Its like in Forrest Gump, Jenny tells Forrest "I'll always be your girl." It doesn't matter who Jerry's dating, Elaine will always be the most important female in his life, and vice versa. That's the most important relationship in their lives. If either ever got seriously involved with someone else, Jerry and Elaine would certainly not remain as close. So I like to believe that they ended up together.

Lemme just point out that I rarely care about this sort of thing. Usually when I watch a "romantic comedy" I'm rooting for the people not to end up together, or die in a grease fire or something. Call me a romantic. But something about Elaine always captivated me. She's strong and independent, but she's a loser. She makes love just like a woman, and she aches just like a woman, but she breaks just like a little girl. She's convoluted , I think, she doesn't know what she wants. She can't maintain a relationship, but she admits to the Rabbi that she desperately wants to get married. We don't see her reactin to Jerry's engagement, though I would guess it would be similar to her feelings on George's engagement; repressed jealousy.

After Jerry, admittedly somewhat inebriated, proposes to Elaine in The Serenity Now, she's initially blown away. After gathering her emotions, or perhaps just wanting a retreat from the Jewish men pursuing her, she returns and accepts. Was her confession to Jerry as their plane went down in the Finale really that she'd always loved United Airlines? If so, this is unfortunate as United is now bankrupt. On second thought, I'll discount this, as I like to pretend the Finale never happened.

So good luck with all THAT.

I am aware that all this analysis is masturbation, but isn't that what Seinfeld is all about?

Almost all of them. The close-talker, the Wiz, ...too many. You'd have to go through the scripts and list almost everyone they've ever been with. Too much trouble.

It would make more sense to list those who "weren't" disliked.

I think the most hated by jerry is the one from 'The Checks', I forgot his name, but it's the one who tried to give him an umbrella.

I just woke up, I hope what I wrote made sense.

I've lived the Elaine/Jerry life and it ended in heartache...boooerns for me. But! It was amazingly fun while it lasted, but THAT girl came along and replaced the void I was filling and now its dead dead dead. I lived and I learned! I live vicariously through seinfeld episodes...haha...damn...it hurt.
