Carl M. posted an interesting story in the forum on this site. Carl was lucky enough to meet Jerry Seinfeld recently. Carl writes:

I met Seinfeld! Even more interesting, he knows about this site! I was in NYC on business, when i decided to stop by a local stand up place that i heard Seinfeld frequents. There were two no name comics on the bill, but i didn't care, i just wanted to see something funny, plus, i have also heard that Seinfeld enjoys the pop-in (even though his char. on seinfeld isn't a fan) The first act was ok, and the second was better. Just as i was about to leave, however, i noticed in the rear of the room, someone was signing autographs. I didn't see his face at first, but i heard his unmistakable voice. I got up and walked over to the table, and there he was. I introduced myself, and told him how big a fan i was. Having seen the recent American Express ads, i of course asked him if he and superman were meeting up later, which got a chuckle out of him, but little more than a smile. Then the coolest thing ever happend, he asked me if i wanted to sit down. OF COURSE!!! So there i sat, chatting it up with the master of observational humor. I asked him about his family, friends, stand up career, etc. Then i thought of this site. I asked him if he was aware of the rabid internet fanbase he had, and he replied, no kidding, 'I hear things'. It was just like from the show! I asked him if he had ever heard of stanthecaddy.com, and he replied with a smile, "Yea, i've been there." I was of course amazed by this, seeing as how he has been to the same place as me, just never really knew it. But what the hell was i thinking, He is sitting right in front me! At this point, feeling like a million dollars, i tell him thank you, and asked him sign a napkin on the table. He did, and like a school boy on speed I walked merrily out of there, feeling like a new person.

Oddly enough, the last thing he said to me before i walked out of there was, say hi to Stan for me.....

Well Carl, that's pretty cool. I'm jealous. Next you are hanging with Jerry and Superman, tell Jerry I said 'hi'. And if you could ask him, Superman, or Jerry's people if there is anyway they can get me tickets to one of Jerry's shows in Toronto on May 7th and 8th, that would be fantastic. Smile The only tickets left for sale are "partially obstructed view", single seats, for like $129. They can email me at tickets@stanthecaddy.com Wink

Dang!!!! That is like WAY COOOOOOOOOOOOOL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I am super jealous now!

Glad to see that he doesn't have too much objection over the fact that there are freely available episodes of his show to download, vs the near-future release of the DVDS. Well, when and if they come out, I will probablly get them anyways, lol!

That's really cool that he sat down with you. Any idea why he asked you specifically? As for downloading episodes, it just makes me want the DVDs. Watching them on my computer in a horrible resolution isn't worth it versus buying DVDs.

I don't know where you're downloading them but all of mine are crisp, almost more so than when they run on TV...also all scenes. You should be downloading the divx files that are roughly 150-170 MB...the ones of 200 aren't as good but better than the 40 MB files.

I think this is all VERY.... VERY dubious.

If you watch comedian, everytime they show jerry talking with fans, it's never more than 1 minute, PLUS, if someone wants to shake his hand more than once, he finds that annoying (quote: "We just shook!")

So, I think it's fake.

Also, I think THIS proves my point :

"i of course asked him if he and superman were meeting up later, which got a chuckle out of him, but little more than a smile"

Extremely unlikely reaction.

I don't know if this is true or not, but there are 2 things for sure. 1, this story sounds more fake than my little brother can make up. 2, why the hell would Seinfeld offer you a seat? I seen him on Celebrity Extra, Celebrities Exposed and such, he doesn't really like to talk to people he doesn't know...plus, if he was giving out autographs, then what the hell happened to the rest of the people? Did they just dissappear? What you said he was giving out autographs then you walked in and started chatted with him...? Then what happened to the people that he was giving autographs to? You think he would chat with just you, Carl? I doubt this very much. Pretty much, it seems 99% fake to me, and I am not even having second thoughts about that 1%.

The guy's probably on some hardcore drug, watched Comedian and thought he was there...

Sad, really...

I can't believe Stan posted this BS story on the front page. The guy didn't even meet Jerry. You think Jerry Seinfeld (a man where his comedy tickets are worth over 500 dollars) has time to talk to strangers? More of a talk, it was like a sitting down discussion. And, on top of that, who the hell is Carl M? He has like 1 post on this whole website, that is his only post, he came here to post some BS, and never came back again! I mean, if he would have actually gotten a talk with Seinfeld, then he would atleast email us or atleast reply back here.
