Does anyone know if this ran this by Jerry Seinfeld?

I think Jimmy Fallon may work out ok, however, if the show is anything like that Taxi movie ...

Uhhh.... yeah... they ran it by Jerry. But when tickets went from FREE to $120 a piece, they decided to find someone else.

Jerry doesn't need another show (especially Late Night). Also, it's been a decade since he was a force at NBC.
He can't top what he's already done and he isn't strapped for cash. Also, I can't believe they're giving Conan the Tonight show. I am underwhelmed.

they offered it to Jerry but it was only $13,000. Ted Dansen was offered a lot more than that.
