Seinfeld star is hair todayOctober 7, 2004
ONE of the world's most recognisable faces came to town yesterday and took no time getting to know the locals – Kramer-style.
Michael Richards, better known as the big-haired guy who fraternised with close-talkers, double dippers and soup nazis in US sitcom Seinfeld, stepped off the plane from LA and started chatting up locals at Sydney airport.
Here to promote the Seinfeld DVD series and to film a project for Sony TV, Kramer stunned locals by asking for directions to everywhere from the racecourse to the men's toilets as cameras rolled.
He popped into the Bulletin's Smart 100 lunch, where he hobnobbed with Jamie Packer and Sydney's top bizzos, deliberately tripping up the stairs when called to present an award.
Fans will have no trouble finding him as he films his trip around city landmarks over the next week and "He's keen to talk to everyone and anyone", Confidential was told.
