Hey everybody,

In "The Revenge" (Set 1, Disc 4) there's a scene where Newman is heard yelling through the window in Jerry's apartment. The voice is not that of Wayne Knight, as he wasn't cast in the role at that time. However, in the "Notes on Nothing" it is mentioned that the yelling was recorded by Wayne Knight later on for syndication, and that this audio is available on the DVD in the sub-menu of that episode.

Now, here's my question/problem: I have looked long and hard for that audio but haven't been able to find it... have anyone here been able to find this? I have the Scandinavian release of the DVDs so it is possible that this feature was taken away, though it would be strange. Anyway, I'd really appreciate it if someone could a) confirm whether it's there or not, and b)in case it really is there, how do i access it?

Thanks!

it's in the inside look for that particular episode at the very end. wayne says that Larry was a stickler for detail so he made him tape em.

On the US edition of the DVD, after you click on "Episodes" and then "The Revenge," you get another sub-menu with a choice of whether to play the "original aired version" (i.e., the one with Larry David's voice) or the "syndicated version" (i.e., the one with Wayne Knight's voice).

If your DVD doesn't have this sub-menu, then good luck finding Wayne Knight's voiceover.

Thanks to both of you for your quick replies!

Unfortunately, neither of your suggestions help me, which leads me to conclude that this feature has been scrapped alltogether from the European release (or the Scandinavian at least). It's kind of troubling, though, that something has been removed from the "Inside Look"... it makes me wonder how many snippets have been removed from the other Inside Looks on the set...

Thanks again, though!

I've got the Australian version, when I click on "the revenge", the menu only consists of play episode, inside look, commentary, notes about nothing. When watching inside look, Wayne Knight doesn't even speak (ref to ernie316 post). I also note on the back of the DVD disk 4 season 2 it says "web links", has anyone found these links yet?

I also have the Australian version, and, well, I thinkm it's kind of obvious they removed it for no good reason.
Its so odd though. They left in the alternate soundtrack to 'The Seinfeld Chronicles'.

I've been unable to find it on the UK version either so it looks like maybe everywhere outside US had it scrapped

God bless LD for being a stickler for detail, but I'm a purist. I'm only interested in watching the version shown on TV the night it originally aired. I've never played the "syndicated version" on my DVD, have no interest in playing it, and probably never will play it.

I can't tell you guys what to feel; but it's too bad you believe you're "missing" something, because I don't think you are.

I with you on this one, Bookman. I suspect the same dicusssion will take place with respect to The Handicap Spot when season 4 rolls out.

I've got the UK DVDs, and I definately heard the Wayne Knight version. I dont have them to hand, but I think its on the Inside Look of Knight's first episode (The Suicide I believe). Have a look there, I'll check it tonight.

You are right Bookman, its nothing special. If you know his voice you know what to expect.

Paul, if your that angry, you'll just have to buy volume 1, its on the season 2 disk 3. The DVD's are in production order, and not in the order they were shown on TV.

Anyone got any thoughts on the weblinks feature (not that it matters all that much cause this website kicks ass). Evil or Very Mad

When you first put in the DVD, the menu that comes up you can click "Links" or something. It only works on a PC though.

Hey, I got the UK set when they were released and then ended up buying the US gift set too over the net. Another difference between the sets is that US Season 3-Disc 4 has a trailer for Spiderman 2, the UK set doesen't. So yeah it seems there are small changes for apparently no good reason.
