I'm sorry (actually I'm not) but I'd have to say Steven Hawking would have to win this thing hands down. The only reason anyone listens to his mathematical rants is because he is crippled.

And not because he's missing an arm or hurt his legs but because he is mangled and sounds like a "Speak & Spell". Pity worship and accolades heaped upon a miserable human being.

How much money does he have from his book of nonsense with things that cannot be proven? I could start spouting off equasions to prove that the universe is shaped like Buddy Holly and as long as they are theoretically close to being possible I would be considered a genius. No? What if I got run over by a train? Nobel Prize? Why thank you.

Edison would have smoked him. Smoked him I say! Henceforth I'm going to start writing mathematical equasions out on this semi-greasy bag of Popeyes (mean chicken) and debunk the existence of Steven Hawkings. If it works out as I believe, as soon as I fill in the final answer he should vanish with an audible pop. Leaving only the Pneumonia 3000 wheelchair behind.

Who agrees and who else is deserving recognition for unannounced failurism (new word) on this list.

Prince.

I wish I could post this somehow without acknowledging that I've even heard of him. What an overrated, overpraised, talentless pile of worthless shit.

I think I'll get some 90 year-old retards, who have no musical background, to write some songs, record them down in a sewer, and have a bunch of trendy, blindly-following morons tell the whole world what a genius I am... then I can pretend I'm shy and don't want to talk because I'm a mysterious genius and have people wondering what I'm like, when in reality, I'm at home laughing at millions of people who are too f**king stupid to realize that I'm actually no better than dog shit.

(new word: Prince)
Hey, who let a Prince?... man, does that reek!!!

Drake, I believe it's the Cougar 9000.

As for your rant,I can understand your disdain for physically challenged individuals who are actually successful. I mean, I can't stand it when a paraplegic wins a gold medal for the 100 meter dash with a clocking of 45 seconds.

But are you saying that he's overrated because his theories are bullshit? Because in that case, you could become a famous man yourself, because as of right now, there isn't a man in the world that has been able to actually refute anything he's written. And believe me, scientists everywhere are devoting their lives to refuting stephen hawkings. If you can do that, the endorsement deals from Webster's and Encyclopedia Britannica will be rolling in.

I don't know enough about the subject to pass my own judgment, but in the case of HatetheDrake versus the entire scientific community...i gotta go with the scientific community. Until then, maybe i'll read his book and get back to you.

On a side note, how do you feel about Einstein's theory of relativity?

PS: theories do not need to be proven. Otherwise they'd be laws.

But yeah, in term of practical contributions to mankind, Edison kicked his ass.

Unfortunately, jeffrey, the immutable laws of physics contradict the whole premise of your account. Allow me to reconstruct this if I may, as I've heard this story a number of times......

Other overrated people: The Pope, The Dali Lama (what do they do, exactly?), Jenna Jameson (I know what she does, but there are so many better looking women who do crazier stuff), Spike Lee (he's really just a flamboyant Knicks fan, not a director)

Overrated things: Books, Basketball, Friends,

Books overrated? Y'know, there are tribes in Cambridge where if you say something like that the families go to war!

I hate books too. Not educational books, but novels.

Ten pages of how the "whispy" sky meets the lonely horizon...ten pages on each character's physical description... no music, no nothing....

GOD.... how I want those wasted hours of my life back. Sad

I don't need book reviews. I judge them by thickness. In college, I once found Of Mice And Men in a meager 1/4" version... which allowed me half the weekend left for heavy drinking.
