Which three characters were played by more than one actor, I would really love to know who they are.

Huh? Who else played Frank except Jerry Stiller? I thought the first one he was in was The Handicap Spot and no one else played that part. Wrong?

Would Steinbrenner count since Larry David did the voice and supposedly someone else did the body shots?

In The Handicap Spot he was played by John Randolph I think. He was much older than Jerry Stiller and about a tenth as funny. Not sure if that is the correct name.

Here's an explanation on the Frank Costanza character from the Episode Guide as I too was confused. I've never seen the version with John Randolph:

The U.S. syndicated version of this episode features Jerry Stiller in the role of Frank Costanza. Viewers overseas, still see John Randolph in the role. The sequences were re-shot in the spring of 1995. A role he didn't formally start until the next season in "The Puffy Shirt". I've been typed that the John Randolph version is still being seen overseas.

Oy! Thnaks fo rthe info Lovin'. All I can say is that I hope to never see the foreign version becasue Jerry Stiller IS Frank Costanza. When I see him on "King of Queens" I always expect him to launch into some Frank-like tirade, but they've muzzled him more on that show.

I am from Australia and have never seen Jerry Stiller in that episode. Would love to see the episode in its re-shot format. I am from Australia and we always get the old version. It is hard to watch, because the first actor is sof far removed from what Jerry Stiller is like.

in a similar vein, there are actors that cropped up as different characters throughout the series. i remember jake jarmel was also one of the cops that pick up george and jerry in l.a. also i noticed the receptionist from the episode with wendy the chiropractor was also one of the bank tellers when kramer tried to claim his hundred bucks for not getting a hello.
any others ?

Hey, I THINK I just saw one today in the scene where Kramer intends to grill the man he thinks is Salman Rushdie. When the camera pans in on the scene, there is a guy sitting on a bench that I THINK is the same guy that played Charlie (Charlie, he's a man, too) from The Strike episode. Same scraggly hair, anyway! Surprised

NEWMAN WAS PLAYED BY TWO DIFFEERENT ACTORS. Larry David is the original uncredited Newman, before Wayne Knight.

Mr. Lippman was played by two different actors -the first was in the episode with Elaine's Colombus bio (euro-trash) and then Richard Fancy took over the role.

The receptionist at Wendy's physical therapy office is actually Carol Liefer- a story assistant on the show.

Another character who was played by two different actors was Michael, father to the ugliest baby anyone's ever seen.

In 'The Boyfriend, Part 2' he is played by Stephen Prutting, and in 'The Hamptons' he is played by Mark L. Taylor.

An interesting postscript to this: In 'The Outing,' George and Jerry seem pretty much in agreement that Lyndon Johnson was one of the ugliest world leaders of all time. In 'The Boyfriend, Part 2,' Kramer says that the baby looks like LBJ. And then in 'The Hamptons,' the site of this baby's new little brother nearly makes Jerry, Kramer, and Elaine barf on the floor. Perhaps it was only innevitable that the parents of a child who looks like one of history's most unattractive world leaders would go on to have another baby who looks so repulsive.

Or maybe it's just a coincidence that the writers missed Smile

same actor (sandy baron)... i believe the reason he is 75 lbs lighter is *because* he got older... the pen is season 3... the cadillac is season 7... that's a lot of time to lose plenty in one area and gain in another.
