Mookie

PostPosted: February 10, 2006 12:05 PM

While watching The First 48 on A&E last night, there was a murder suspect wanted by Homicide who went by the street name, "Mookie".

That pretty much killed my enthusiasm for using the name right then and there (pardon the pun).

I know it shouldn't matter, but it does to me. I havn't selected a new name yet but I'll do so over the weekend.

Farewell, Mookie. You had the hit in game 6. And Elaine thinks you're a really great guy.

Damn that fake Mookie!! Mad

Mookie was also Jay Leno's character in American Hot Wax.

Pretty obscure movie about a 50s disc jockey, with a good rock'n'roll soundtrack. Or "devil music" as it was called then.

Mookie always reminds me of Jay Leno. So why change? Fran Drescher was also in it, she played his girlfriend.

I'd be willing to bet that there are many murderers with the names Jimmy, Jackie, Jeffrey, etc., who are also wanted...

I think I speak for all of us when I say "who cares?" Rolling Eyes

Jimmy- I care, Clicky cares. And that kid up on 96th Street, who needs bootlegs because his parent or guardian won't let him see the excessive violence and strong sexual content you and I take for granted, he cares.

I can just picture the witness on the stand at Mookie's trial:

"Ahhh....Oh, Mookie!...Mookie was there."

Speaking of alternate screennames here on the board, I'm going to beta test the name Cartwright and see if I don't like that one better than Mookie.

Cartwright? CARTWRIIIGHT?? Laughing

That's funny, Bookman. You're very quick. I feel like I don't have to explain every little thing to you. You understand everything immediately. Laughing
