Like all of you Im a HUGE Seinfeld fan to the point where Im writing a big university paper on it.

I NEED YOUR HELP! I can even quote you haha

I was wondering how all of you feel about the 'jewishness' in the show. Specifically considering the following episodes:

The Serenity Now
The Pen
The Bris
The Yada Yada

How do you feel about the Jewish jokes? Do you understand them at the same level as the other jokes (for those who are not Jewish)? Those who are Jewish do you feel you find the show funnier than a comedy which does not contain as many Jewish references in their jokes?
What is the appeal of the show and does it have anything to do with the fact that Jerry is Jewish? If you were not familiar with what a 'Jew' is would you still come to the conclusion that Jerry is Jewish?

All help is much appreciated!!!

Thanks Guys,

Son of Dad

"Are we supposed to be talking about this?" (Actually, "Should we be talkin' about this?") is from "The Wizard." You have to know this stuff, then all your questions are answered. 'bout takin' your top off?

Well, Danielle, the 'jewishness' in the show is merely a commentary on contemporary issues. Still, Seinfeld is like Gossamer and one doesn't dissect Gossamer.
