"Ratings" takes all the TV households in a given market, whether or not the TVs are being watched, and measures the percentage of all those TVs that are tuned into a particular program at a particular time.

"Share" is the percentage of TV households actually watching TV that are tuned to a specific program at a specified time, i.e., the share of the audience actually watching TV at a specific time.

Since the number of TV households will always be larger than the number with TVs that are turned on, the rating will always be smaller than the share.

Or we could not tell him any of the ratings all together... how 'bout that? Smile

Well, I figured with Mr. Sngbgkldhndrgnkj's being Welsh or Icelandic, he'd need the help. God knows he needs a new name.

You're right Drake! I just tried typing it a few times myself but I keep screwing up. How the hell did he do it his first try right out of the gate?

He probably just closed his eyes and did it...Chances are he couldn't do it again, either.

Oh, those letters... This sngbgkldhndrgnkj guy might be a rabid anti-vowel-ite.

Sorry, Jimmy it would have been nice to end the thread on a high note but... we'll all be dead soon anyway. Wink

Eventually, not soon. You have homework to do tonight, young man. I want you to come back tomorrow with your quotes in order. Cool
