This is completely out of left field, pun intended, but I'm in a really sour mood. Why? The White Sox are in the playoffs and the Cubs completely out of the picture are heading into a downward spiral.
This entire year has been a tragedy. I'm a die hard Cubs fan and to see the White Sox advancing to the postseason and seeing all the Go Sox banners at work, listening to endless sports radio gushing over the Sox, and hearing the wishy washy fans is driving me insane.
You cannot root for both teams!! Rooting for the Sox and the Cubs would be like rooting for the NY Giants, Brooklyn Dodgers, and the NY Yankees back in the day. You'd be beaten unconscious behind Ebbets Field for your stupidity. The city will be excited if they win. But it will be nowhere near the pandemonium and epic festivities it would be if the Cubs won.
The Cubs are flat out more popular in this town. No where else is the crosstown hatred as great as here. Yankees- Mets? Please. I was at the Sox-Indians games with first base line dugout tickets from work. I proudly wore my Cubs hat and received endless curses and threats. I pray for the collapse of the Sox the tears of the South Side fans and the ultimate destruction of the wretched US Celluar Field. Which I might add is the worst cell phone service provider out there.

GO CUBBIES!!!

thank you...

The White Sox in the postseason is like Halley's Comet. It'll happen periodically. If you don't want to see it, avert your eyes. It'll be over before you know it.

So why'd they call them Sox, and not Socks? Were they just trying to be cool like Nelly?

On another sports note has anyone else realized that Hubie Brown (former NBA coach)
if draped in a dark shawl looks exactly like Emperor Palpatine. Scary because to get to that level of decriptcy (is that a word) requires hours of makeup and that's his real face.

And going with the Star Wars theme... Seeing as how Cheney just had those clots removed from his knees and his pitiful state, it is clear he cannot function normally. It's time for him to give up and be equpipped with a Darth Vader mechanized suit to support his ravaged body. And wait for his turn to rule the galaxy. Or he can just tear off the mask and return back to Skeletor, his true form.

And now for the weather...

Also, the older Mick Jagger gets, the more he looks like Don Knotts. Kind of like Ringo and Yasser Arafat.

Well, I was busy watching hockey all night. It's hilarious that since all 30 teams were in action last night, TSN (Canada's ESPN) only got to the Astros-Braves game with like 10 minutes left in the show!

You're blackhawks still have at least 4-5 years of mediocrocre play ahead of them. Although, i've always had a bit of a soft spot for the blackhawks....don't know why. While the Habs are on the upswing. And what's even better is that Toronto is worse than ever.

Baseball playoffs are always a lot of fun to watch, a whole lot more than regular season. The only bad thing about watching baseball playoffs is having to listen to Joe Buck for a whole month. And while i'm on the subject of commentators, that Yankees commentator has the worst home run catch phrase ever with: "SEE YA!!!!!" If he didn't say it every single time, it might not be that annoying, but this guy thinks he's Donald Trump.

The Blackhawks. A beffudling display of mismanagement and lack of giving two sh*** about their fan base. I was there when hundreds were wearing paper bags over their heads and we booed the entire time. One of the ultimate disgraces "The Theo Fluery Show", I rest my case.

The Habs didn't deserve the win last night. But you take the ones you don't deserve because there will be enough losses that you deserved to win.
You know who the Habs are? They're "Even Stephane".

(I meant to spell it that way)

Don Knotts looks like Don Knotts and he's working from the inside.

Well, there were two outs, bottom of the tenth. We're one out away from losing
the series....

He had a sex change, became a sexy, but bitchy police chief, and orchestrated the kidnapping of the Wally the Green Monster before being foiled by America's only green monster detective.

Gendison, definetely not the best game to watch. 1st period was good, then I switched to Toronto-Ottawa. Did you hear about all their plans to commemorate 100 years in 2009? Pretty big stuff.

Speaking of Habs, Gendison, what a nice goal by perazoghin (sp?). I'm pretty stoked about Saturday night: Leafs-Habs. Should be nice to see Lindros run into Allison and watch them leave the game with concussions.

I can't believe that Barbara.... Did you catch that yesterday? They couldn't have picked a better secretary. Donna was good in her day, but Barbara?... Please!... If those copies hadn't been duplexed, stapled, and handed off to Henderson by 2pm, who knows what Dr. Mangher's attorney would've done. I know, I know... it'll be good seeing Dennis Spencer's amazingly quick coffee change-over at mid-moring break, but still, you have to give Dolson the benefit of the doubt with those reports of his in the last quarter....

(should we really give a rat's ass about people's job performances? Gimme a break!) Rolling Eyes
