I love to watch women's figure skating. And women's gymnastics. And women's diving (springboard and platform). And women's beach volleyball. And women's tennis. Lovin' the competition. All about the competition.

Not a big fan of the football (cough, cough). If I wanted to watch guys grabbing each other, pulling each other to the ground, laying on top of each other, I'd go see "Brokeback Mountain." Not that there's anything wrong with it. I mean have you seen where the QB puts his hands to take the snap? How gay is that? Not that there's anything wrong with it. And then after the game they celebrate with cigars? Include me out.

Consider yourself included. I mean, not included. I mean...I don't know what I mean. Not that there's anything wrong with that.

Why does the back bobsled guy have to keep his head tucked down? They should either both be tucked or both be untucked.

I never watch any sports, but I am curious about one thing. Have any professional basketball players ever missed a shot in the entire history of the game, or am I just seeing too many highlights on the news? Should they maybe lower the net a tad? Wouldnt it be cheaper to just remove the baskets altogether, and just give them the points everytime one of them tosses the ball up in that direction? Rolling Eyes

....anyway, i love watching the olympics (i prefer winter to summer)

what's the big deal about Sasha Cohen, she's not even that good looking. Give me that ice dancer any day of the week, what's her name...benelbi, tenelbi..something.

Yev, i'm sure you know this but he tucks in to reduce drag. The other stays untucked so he can see where he's going. But there's a sport : double-tucked bobsledding.

I'm just saying... with the 1 tuck 1 untuck it's just not right. Maybe they can both tuck but there will be a periscope! Shocked

You wanna see a sport - Send all the bobsledders down at the same time. There's competition; there's drama. I wager that even Jimmy would watch that. In Yev's world, there'd be periscopes lying around all over the place.

I think we got about another week of continuous unknown olympians boring us to death on the talk shows each night...then we can finally get back to watching normal, entertaining guests. Rolling Eyes

Did you know the bobsledders that came down the track UPSIDE DOWN were only a couple of seconds later than the winners. I mean what kind of sport is that, if gravity is doing all the work?

I detest the Olympics. What a waste of good t.v. time. The best shows are booted for some buffoons on ice. Or steroided freaks leaping over sticks.

Is that a medal sport or just exhibition?

Definitely a medal sport. If you can catch one of those gymnasts in just the right position, that's gold baby, gold.
