Recently, a lot of people have been seeing web sites that claim to be selling Seinfeld on DVD. Others have seen people on eBay selling DVD sets.

These are homemade sets, and you might get ripped off.

The official DVD is NOT out yet. It is rumored to be out late 2004 (though nothing official has been announced yet).

Things to consider about homemade DVD sets:

1. Some people have been ripped off - they paid money and received nothing.

2. If you do receive some DVDs, the quality will not be great - "TV quality" at best.

3. The episodes will be taped from TV, and will likely have TV station icons showing in the corner of the video. Some might even have commercials.

4. The DVD set will not contain any of the interviews, special features, and bloopers that the official release will have.

The choice is up to you, but be careful. Personally, I am waiting for the official DVD release. If you want to be notified by email when Seinfeld is officially released, enter your email address below:

Stan, if you know all this and you still put links of these "people" (sportsmaniacs/de.kupe@aol) on your site then you are part of the problem.

The links are supplied by Google, it's not Stan's fault.

indeed, google ads are fucking lame. but they pay a bit of cash, just have to make sure the userbase has the intelligence to ignore them.

So, let me get this strait the 3 (CO-star) cast members that are throwing a fit made over 23 million dollars on the last season and they are bitching about wanting more, because the creature, writer, MAIN star, and producer made over a billion dollars …

What a bunch of ass holes!

I make 35k a year and bust my ass of for it; to pay jerk offs like this by buying there damn DVDs and shit!

You can bet I am going to BOOTLEGG it on VCD (or VHS)… I and I hope EVERYONE does the same in protest!
… Just so, I can make sure the 3 even 4 of them don't get a damn dime from me!

I would lick Seinfeld’s circumcised Jewish balls if I got an 8th of what they made in there last season!

Celebrities really piss me off sometimes … OVER paid pre-Madonna’s that forget who put them were they are today!

Sportsmaniac is a total rip off company. August 10 I ordered the 180 episode Seinfeld collection. They took $220 off my credit card for it only to find out 4 weeks ago Sony hasnt even released them yet. Took me 6 weeks to get the money back on my credit card. They originally told me the warehouse where the Seinfeld cd's were stored in, burned down with all the cd sets. Finally after threating to take them to court they refunded my money onto my credit card. Do yourself a favor and dont even deal with these rude unprofessional jackasses.

I purchased the (recorded form T.V.) 180 episodes
which were poor quality but no real complaints other than disk 18 did not play. So no episodes 137 thru 144 oh well.. they refunded me $35.00
How can they sell these legally? they recorded them from local a television station in Michigan! I laughed my ass off at the scrolling weather alerts and channel logos!! But its kinda worth it since only the first 3 seasons are released in stores, legit that is...

Hey, I ordered from the Sportsmaniacs.com in August of last year and they told me nothing about their warehouse burning down. In fact, their website www.thesportsmaniacs.com is still operational, would you believe it? Besides, they are in Canada, and it would be difficult to sue anyone outside the country. However, I wouldn't mind seeing what I ordered. Well, good-bye for now.

P.S., they claim to be a 501, C, 3 non-profit organization according to the Canadian Authorities.

My guess is June 2004. That's a complete guess so it probably doesn't help you. I'm anxious too Laughing

According to "CostcoConnection" magazine, Season 4 is available now at Costco. The magazine doesn't list the price, but I looked on the website, and it's $32.99...

http://www.costco.com/Common/Search.aspx?whse=&topnav=&search=898845

The magazine blurb says "four-disc set containing all 24 episodes... includes 13 hours of exclusive special features... "

Looks like I'm Costco-bound!

Janine is absolutally correct.

... ...

...is a complete ripoff. I ordered "SPACE: Above and Beyond", I payed $99.00 for the full set. In the set I recieved, 4 out of 12 DVDs were actually playable, 6 of the disks are filled with gaps and digital corruption and 2 of the disks were shipped BLANK. I e-mailed them at their website that "guarantees 100% customer satisfaction". It has been two weeks now and I haven't received any response, I also called three times at their toll free number and got a recording giving their office hours, I even got the recording during their alleged office hours. This bunch should be avoided like the plague.

Gendison (while crying into a tissue), hands Jimmy a tissue for his eyes, but Jimmy wipes his mouth with it after taking a bite out of a sandwich.

Has anyone addressed the issue that the DVD's sold in the sets are cut (edited) down from the original broadcasts, and not in their original entirety? What's the story on that? Mine aren't pirated, they came from Amazon.com Sad

I think some of the season 4 episodes i have are edited. I got the set at walmart by the way. One episode "the outing" is only 22 minutes. I would think in the 90's episodes should be 23 to 24 minutes. There are several shows from the 90's i have that even go to 25 minutes.
