For those of you with iTunes access, there is a standup bit available on there called "A Very Special Seinfeld" by Frank Caliendo. It's only 2.5 minutes long, but well worth the measly 99 cents for those interested.

In the bit, Jerry licks one of Newman's Grateful Dead commemorative stamps which is laced with drugs and begins halucinating. He imitates Jerry, George, and Karmer dead on, and also does Newman at the end (but not very well). A must have for the Seinfeld collector.

Veg, is there a way Jimmy can upload it here, so people won't have to buy it?

Upload it here, I don't think so. But you could find a free hosting site, like putfile.com (atually, I don't know if they do audio hosting), and link us to it. Very Happy

Edit---

Scratch putfile, they don't do audio. If you would like, contact me and send me the file, I can host it.

Another Edit----
But Frank Caliendo is very good. He does great impressions, I saw his Comedy Central Presents, he does an unbelievable John Madden.

Just realized... can Windows play M4p files? If not, Jimmy'll have to first burn it to CD to trick it into converting to a normal audio file. It seems Apple has some sort of licensing rights and security protection on that file format. If Jimmy has to convert it, he'll do that and email it to you soon.

Anybody know if this is necessary? Would hate to waste a CD for nothing.

I don't know about that, but if you can convert it, send it, I'll host that little bugger.

Well, after dicking around with this thing for an hour... it would appear that the new OSX, which Jimmy has recently upgraded to, has become smart and done away with the CD burning work-around scam that has always worked up until now. The MPEG4 will not convert. Was able to download a converter, that saved it as an MP3... but the MP3 seems to still have the protection in it. It seems (to Jimmy anyway) that it will only play on an iTunes player or an iPod. Oh hail, to the mighty Steve Jobs and his need for even more money from hardware sales!

Gendison: It's an audio file, so there's nothing to see.

So basically, in order to hear it, you can either download iTunes player for Windows and open an account and buy the clip for a buck... or buy Frank Caliendo's CD that has it... or be shit outta luck if you don't use a Mac with OSX.

Jimmy's sorry he brought the whole thing up Crying or Very Sad

I'll try to find it somehow...I think I have a buck lying around. Hope they take Canadian quarters.

Just heard it. Really funny, but like you said, Newman isn't that good, but the rest is awesome.
I find impersonators always do Jerry's "freaking out" voice.
I have a SNL clip with them doing Seinfeld meets Buffy the Vampire Slayer...It's hilarious, too. If anyone wants to see it, I can e-mail it to them, it's just a regular MPEG.

Jimmy emailed the M4p to Veg. If he hosts it, Windows users can download the iTunes player free (http://www.apple.com/itunes/) then download the file from Veg to open in the iTunes player without having to purchase the sound clip.

Where there's a will, there's a way.

Yeah, send Jimmy the SNL clip.

Just curious Gend, did you have to open it up in iTunes or did it open up in something else? Jimmy just has to know everything, doesn't he?

Well, as a musician, I'm a little embarrassed to say that I got it from a file sharing site. I don't get my music that way, but comedians??? We have no deal with them!!!

I'm trying to send it again, Jimmy. The first one I sent you probably didn't work. It might be too big a file for Hotmail, I'll try sending it again and if it doesn't work, I'll send it from Yahoo.

One thing that has always sucked is that file sharing sites are so anti-mac. Jimmy just gave up on them altogether years ago. There may be some out there now... but Jimmy's sent emails to Kazaa, Napster, and others chewing them out for being Windows-only Nazis. Have just gotten used to buying everything now rather than being disappointed everytime Jimmy tries hopelessly to download anything for free (like the show episodes here). Jimmy comes from a long line of quitters.

Just watched the Buffy/Seinfeld thing. That was great. Never saw Buffy, so maybe Jimmy missed something, but the lines were funny. Was that Will Farrow playing Jerry? It was too small to see but the voice had to be him. He's a riot... the last of the great SNL comics. They should have a DVD of nothing but the skits where he plays keyboards and Cheri Oteri sings.

Yeah, I think it was Will Farrell. I've never seen Buffy, the show, either, but I think she's hot.

It's pretty amazing, but i've seen Caliendo perform this bit two separate times. Once was at just for laughs a few years ago (saw it on TV not live) and once very recently on Mad TV. If you guys have only heard it, you guys are missing that "George" face he makes. He does this weird kind of squinting, maybe to spot those raccoons. But it's pretty funny.

I've tried and I've tried, but the three hosting sites I went to won't host it, and the place I normally go to host photos or video won't get anything going wither. Sorry fellas, but I won't be able to get it hosted unless I get it somewhere else. Thanks for the attempt Jimmy, but OSX windows compatibility isn't the greatest I guess. I'll browse a couple file sharing places, and let you guys know if I host it.
